Offer insight in new character creation? Xbox 360

So, what advice would you give someone that is trying to re-start Skyrim?

Character Race/ Name/ Build?

Play style?

I know that I should be the RP'er, but I'm kind of in a ditch right now and looking for some multiple choices.....

I do like the Tamriel Rebuilt Name Generator though, but the names are kind of whack!

Thanks for the help!

What styles have you played before? Go for something really different. Like a pure archer who makes poisons for his arrows, or a warrior who uses the same iron armor and steel battleaxe the entire game. Think of a distinct personality and try to do questlines and such that your character would do. Make a chart of his strengths and weaknesses, goals and fears...stuff like that.

Any race you haven't made before? Do either the stereotypical stuff related to the race, or the complete opposite. If you go to the uesp and look at the names in the lore, combine the first and last particles that sound good, and walah you have a name.

If it was me, I'd make a khajiit because I haven't made one yet and have sneak, lock pick, speech, alteration, and pickpocket. Maybe destruction as well.

When I got bored, I decided to make a character that looked like the Dragonborn from the trailers. Perhaps for a challenge you could try something like that. Stick with the lower-level armor (which looks better anyway, in my opinion) and weapons. Go shout hunting to increase your arsenal.

If you're curious, the default Dragonborn wears a mix of heavy and light armor. His helmet, gauntlets, and boots are iron. But I believe he wears leather for his body. He has a banded iron shield and a steel sword. I treat him as a jack-of-all-trades.
