Now that I've actually read the interview: :celebration:

Tavern brawls. Focus on Nord culture. Tons of customization. Marriage! I'm a happy gamer.

This isn't a forum just for bawwing at how epic Skyrim looks.

A "measly" 25 questions? Christ on a cracker what did you want, them to release the game for us with it?

I would've been okay with that.

The biggest shocker for me was the fact that you can get married your spouse will move in with you. Since kids are in the game, I wonder if they'll be implemented too.

Bethesda is not about checking off features on a list, so you know a lot of quality will come from this new decision!

Dammit. Marriage better be cool. If it's silly and shallow and makes me feel like a moron, I'm going to be pissed.

Also, I better be able to be homosixual.

I completely forgot about S/S relationships. It's always interesting to see if a game with romance allows for them.

I knew that comment about marriage at E3 was a crafty nod.

It was a solid interview with a lot of our questions answered significantly. We got some new information to mull over and argue about. Seriously when you set your expectations so high they'll NEVER be able to meet them.

I never ever complain about anything Skyrim related since I joined at the beginning of the year. Not a single time. I think most people here would vouch for that. I am disappointed with this Q&A though. Oblivion's was 4 parts. We got 25 questions and no new screens. That's what i'm mainly upset with. It took 2 months for 25 questions and on the Bethblog they attached a one month old, E3 screen to the Q&A. That's not cool.

Thanks Gstaff, Nick, Lady N, the devs, and anyone else involved, for doing this. Great read. :goodjob:

I can't believe how vague an answer [what I assume was] the vampire/werewolf question got, though. You've doomed the forums to another 4 months of wild speculation on that specific topic alone. :D

Looking forward for the friendship / marriage system and for the bar brawls! Hurray!

Thank you, Bethesda for the Q&A.. I'm so stoked and hope the game development is going great. I'll ask again about those 7,000 steps and if you've counted them yet for next time. :D

Only thing that really dissapoints me is the combined chest and greaves. That's just stupid...

But the romance sounds pretty wicked. I'm looking forward to seeing how they handle it. Anyway, if people thinks it's lame, don't use it.

Question, anyone know if this is the only Q & A we're getting?

On the Q & A, I liked how Todd said that many of the PC graphic effects can be scaled up for monster gaming systems, as well as the PC version getting the higher res textures and larger render modes. It's going to be the first time I'm purchasing a TES title for PC first and a new gaming system specifically for one game, and I'm glad my money is well spent.

What is kinda troubling is how the Enchanting is similar to Oblivion in the sense that you need soul gems still. For those who don't have access to Soul Trap or do not want to be forced to use it in order to rp their character or whatever properly, it's a bit of a downer. But it's not too bad, seeing as were probably getting the recharge services again, Enchanting is being done a bit differently, and Magic armor will never need to be recharged. Now I hope that max level Enchanting will grant a perk to create constant enchantments that are more intimidating than, say, +5 One-Handed skill.

The relationship answer was nice, but I hope they flesh it out if they are going to go that route. Let's keep it TES and not Fable.

Okay, I finished the Q&A and I have to say, I'm extremely pleased with what has been said. You guys selected some great questions, and I really respect the effort made to specifically target the more hardcoe fans of the series to satisfy our questions.

Thanks Todd, Matt, and Bruce! (And Lady N  )

Overall it was decent. I am not impressed with the mark/recall levitate excuse. The number of situations wrecked by these spells is small and I suspect the number of situations that can be gained is just as large or larger. For levitate, who cares if someone flies over the mountain instead of zig zagging up it on foot. As for monsters give more of them bows, it really isn't hard to fix. Mark/recall did it help you much more than fast travel did in oblivion? Sure it could get you out of a fight, but there were plenty of ways to do that anyways.

I'm pleased with most of what I read, bar brawls, marridge and unique beast animations all sound great. I don't like how racial bonus's are still in spell form but I'll get over it. I just wish there was more, the Oblivion interview was huge.

Couple general comments:

You can even get married. If you own a house, your spouse will move in with you.

Hopefully this gets the complexity it deserves instead of simple interactions like Fable. I was pro-relationships before the Q&A I just hope they do it well.

As far as UI, it visually looks the same across the platforms,

Not unexpected, but :banghead: Hopefully the UI is more customizable than it has been in the past. Disappointed none the less.

There are differences between male and female animations, and even beast races have some specific animations.

This has always been a pet peeve of mine. Win!

Oh, and we now have tavern brawls that are non-lethal! I love those.

Epic Win! :mohawk:

Nice overall, not a ton of new info, but I appreciate the devs taking the time to answer a few things. Thanks much!

You act like PC getting higher res textures is something magical. All PC games get that save the worst of the worst console ports
