I'd like to sea a more southern seafaring kind of game. I want it released sometime in 2015-16, quality deserves a good 4-5 year cycle, especially if other games come out in the meantime.
Anyway, it'd include Py whatever it is, with sea elves as new race. Py place is tropical paradise islands, using lush flowery lands. Sea elves have a distinct culture, heavily influenced by polynesian islanders. Hawaii will be a major influence on their archietecture and speech.
Summerset Isle is also included. I think it should take many japanese elements into its design. Beautiful Mt-fuji inspired ranges dominate the interior. Many of the creatures found here are based off of japanese mythology. High Elf architecture is japanese-LIKE.
Valenwood is the typical LOTR, basic stereotypical fantasyland to balance out the unorthodox areas that dominate the other areas. Rats, wolves, bears, goblins, normal sorts of creatures should be found here. Towering forests dwarf the player. Possibly a tree-top kind of city, like ewok style. Many acrobatic shortcuts, quests, and easter eggs. In other areas, simple generic fantasy castles rule the area.
One final area, Elsywer. Yes, that's 4 major areas, I realize that's a bit much. But these are all the smallest areas in tamriel, and some, like Py would simply not work at all for a standalone game. Their heavy reliance of the ocean also makes it very logical for them to appear together in the same game. These obviously would be nowhere near as big as if they had their own game, but with increasing technology it is not infeasible to guess that each one might be a little bigger than the entire shivering isles.
Elsywer south western area is mainly desert, with arabic cultural influences in its cities. Some egyptian creatures like the Roc, or maybe giant crocodiles and elephants could be seen here. The jungles are strangulated by rivers and difficult to navigate terrain, tribal factions are found here with jungle creatures. Elsywer is very thievery-oriented. Summerset is very mage-oriented. Valenwood is warrior-oriented.
Most important to this game would be seafaring. Minor islands would dot the wide seas, and sea monsters would make a very big appearance. Massive serpents and some ship to ship combat could take place. This would work by like, going to a port, and for a certain amount of gold hiring generic crewmembers, who would live on your ship. They would fight, and naturally all the major RPG elements of persistence and exploration would function here as well.
