I would really like something "less epic" than saving the world etc etc.

The Empire is on the verge of crumbling - maybe one less on "save us from evil" and more towards "help us start over"?

We haven't witnessed the return of Lorkhan, yet...

I think a trip to Black Marsh would be the best thing for this series after Skyrim. We'll have seen two human provinces in a row, and I think it's time to go somewhere alien again. Black Marsh is arguably the most alien place left on Tamriel, especially now that they control Morrowind, and a game set there would be a welcome change of pace.

I'd like to see a game set in Valenwood and Elsweyr with the Khajiit and Bosmer possibly uniting against the Thalmor. And a zombie survivor game set in Black Marsh during the timeline of Infernal City. :D

Only one major city was hit, it's not like the entire province is populated by zombies now.

No one else is excited for a future game taking place in Hammerfell?

I want to see realistic, sandy deserts contrasted with a lush oasis here and there and stuffed with Persian architecture.

I'm actually quite curious as to how Bethesda's going to interpret Redguard culture in future games. They had strong Persian elements in their architecture and naming conventions for Arena/Daggerfall, then they were a mix of that and all-around pirateyness by Redguard. I don't know what to make of the ones in Morrowind and Oblivion, although with names like "Jim Stacey" I'm tempted to say that they were some sort of crossover between American plantation slaves and lead film roles cast as Morgan Freeman.

Also, it depends. Will this Hammerfell be based off of zephyr's amazing Tamriel Rebuilt map?

I want to see Hammerfell... I just want to see it after another game in a more alien province. I like the human architecture in Oblivion, but I prefer more alien architecture, like we saw in Morrowind. When I first explored Ald'ruhn, I actually got teary-eyed, because in my mind, it's architecture was beautiful. And I know many other people probably don't care for that kind of design. But those people have gotten two games in a row now (Shivering Isles was great but it was far from a full game), and I think it's time for a change of pace.

But Umbriel traveled all the way through Black Marsh to get to Morrowind, zombies trailing along under them. That's more than just one city being effected. I was kind of joking anyway. Should have specified Lilmoth I guess.

Absolutely! I simply adore Hammerfell, and I would give my right hand to see a modern TES game set there. Honestly, it would be absolutely so incredible.

Will it happen? I don't know, but one can dream... :sadvaultboy:

one word "WAR" all the areas should go into war with each other. you pick what side you want to be on and fight for peace threw out tamriel or to counqure it with an iron fist. this way you can vist all the provinces like skyrim, cyrodiil, hamerfall, ext. you work your way up threw the ranks and build an army. search the lands for power advantages like dragons or powerfull magic, mayby kinda like naruto where they harness the power of the tailed beast, you try to take the dadric lords powers for your side.

More like the main hero of the game fell into the trap set by the Daedric Princes yet again and using you as a pawn just for shiz 'n' giggles.

Elsweyr or Pyandonea (Somewhere tropic haha!) or Akavir.

One of those three, and I'll be very very happy :P

I'd like to sea a more southern seafaring kind of game. I want it released sometime in 2015-16, quality deserves a good 4-5 year cycle, especially if other games come out in the meantime.

Anyway, it'd include Py whatever it is, with sea elves as new race. Py place is tropical paradise islands, using lush flowery lands. Sea elves have a distinct culture, heavily influenced by polynesian islanders. Hawaii will be a major influence on their archietecture and speech.

Summerset Isle is also included. I think it should take many japanese elements into its design. Beautiful Mt-fuji inspired ranges dominate the interior. Many of the creatures found here are based off of japanese mythology. High Elf architecture is japanese-LIKE.

Valenwood is the typical LOTR, basic stereotypical fantasyland to balance out the unorthodox areas that dominate the other areas. Rats, wolves, bears, goblins, normal sorts of creatures should be found here. Towering forests dwarf the player. Possibly a tree-top kind of city, like ewok style. Many acrobatic shortcuts, quests, and easter eggs. In other areas, simple generic fantasy castles rule the area.

One final area, Elsywer. Yes, that's 4 major areas, I realize that's a bit much. But these are all the smallest areas in tamriel, and some, like Py would simply not work at all for a standalone game. Their heavy reliance of the ocean also makes it very logical for them to appear together in the same game. These obviously would be nowhere near as big as if they had their own game, but with increasing technology it is not infeasible to guess that each one might be a little bigger than the entire shivering isles.

Elsywer south western area is mainly desert, with arabic cultural influences in its cities. Some egyptian creatures like the Roc, or maybe giant crocodiles and elephants could be seen here. The jungles are strangulated by rivers and difficult to navigate terrain, tribal factions are found here with jungle creatures. Elsywer is very thievery-oriented. Summerset is very mage-oriented. Valenwood is warrior-oriented.

Most important to this game would be seafaring. Minor islands would dot the wide seas, and sea monsters would make a very big appearance. Massive serpents and some ship to ship combat could take place. This would work by like, going to a port, and for a certain amount of gold hiring generic crewmembers, who would live on your ship. They would fight, and naturally all the major RPG elements of persistence and exploration would function here as well.

Hello there. I would like to take a moment to inform you that the Elder Scrolls has had quite a lot of lore already established, and the lands you just described already have lore associated with them. Pyandonea's description is nothing like Hawaii. Altmer architecture isn't like Japanese architecture, unless of course the Japanese build their buildings in such a way that they're nearly indistinguishable from their natural surroundings. Valenwood isn't generic fantasy, and Elsweyr is definitely, definitely not Arabic. If you want Arabic architecture, go to Hammerfell. If you want Asian architecture, go to Akavir. If you want standard fantasy architecture, go to Cyrodiil. You can read more about the actual descriptions of these lands by researching them http://www.imperial-library.info/.

I agree with the votes for a more alien setting. It would be a welcome change of pace and scenery. Valenwood and Blackmarsh seem the most ideal candidates.

Blackmarsh for the hist, the endless swamps, the amazing lighting effects that I'm sure a next-gen engine could provide, and the immersion into a brand new so-far largely unexplored culture.

Valenwood for the trees and forests of immense scale. Studying the environment for my degree has already shown me how vastly different the levels of a woodland are, from the floor, to the shrubs, to the lower canopy, to the upper canopy. Imagine that in a forest where trees are hundreds of feet high, with walkways and roads being built on branches, and where the floor barely has any light at all. I'm sure most of the variations in landscape wouldn't be by area like in the previous TES games, but in height and elevation. I also think the Bosmer need a serious culture check, so they aren't just known as a joke race.

Both locations would provide a larger sense of scale by not being able to see very far. Perhaps if you got up to a high point you'd be able to see across the vast misty swamps, or the endless sea of trees, but for the most part you'd be in a dense and seemingly endless jungle in either province. Mist and trees would prevent vast vistas save for the rare special occasion, and that sense of scale present in Morrowind would make a return.

Just my thoughts ^_^

As far as I can see this, they'll surely make their second Fallout RPG before TES VI. I'd estimate a rough 6 years from 2012 to see TES VI, which is quite far away :) I honestly cannot think of other places than Summerset isle i'd want to explore after Skyrim, perhaps Orsirium too.

TES 1: Arena
TES 2: Daggerfall (Illiac bay area)
TES 3: Morrowind
TES 4: Oblivion (Cyrodil)
TES 5: Skyrim
TES 6: ?

My bet is High Rock they seem to be focusing on the more Northern parts of Tamriel and they left a big chunk of High Rock that is just begging to have another game set there.
There is still a possibility that bethesda changes the corse to Black Marsh.

I think if someone commits a crime, and no one is around to see it, then no one knows you did it. However, once people get around to seeing the dead body, finding an item to be missing, etc. then they will alert a guard who will begin searching for suspects. If NPC's saw you around the area, but not at the exact crime scene, then they might point to you or not. A guard can stop and question you, and depending no your speechcraft/personality you might get caught or not. If an item was stolen and there is reasonable proof of you being around there then a guard could search you. If he finds it then you get caught.

Basically I would like to see slightly realistic guard tactics.

some guy wrote it and i agree!! Plus we should have gotten the Daggerfal crime and punishment system too :deal:
