Official: Beyond Skyrim - TES VI #13

Post » Tue Sep 18, 2012 1:55 am

This thread is for ideas and suggestions for future Elder Scrolls games, and to keep all the discussion in one series of threads.

Now that Skyrim has been released the number of suggestions and ideas for the next ES game are starting to show up. We have a long way to go before we get another ES game and all topics like this will be closed and either transferred or referred to this one.

Please keep any discussion of Skyrim in the correct forums.

I would like, in no particular order:
- longer questlines for guilds
- moving ships and moving carriages in real time
- underwater combat
- stronger stats system, attributes like Fallout's, bring back birthsigns instead of stones
- some sort of deformable environments, seasons, celebrations
- locational damage, better NPC reactions in combat
- improved Radiant AI (Oblivion E3 demo)
- more branches in quests (choices and consequences, different approaches)

You forgot to include "better animations for the NPCs" in your list...

I agree. Underwater combat is iffy though. I would like underwater combat to be slightly modified from what we were used to.

The character's weight (or equipped weight) should effect speed and buoyancy.
Only hand to hand attacks, daggers, and thrusting weapons should be available in water combat.
Some spell effects should be logically impossible, like fire spells. And lightning spells should be effected.
