No official borderless window?

Post » Sat Dec 07, 2013 6:25 am

Why in the nine hells, have they not implemented a borderless window option in skyrim yet?

It makes absolutely no sense that they to this day, have not fixed this issue, and im guessing fixing it for skyrim would mean fixing it for fallout as well, as its pretty much the exact same engine.

But its a bloody disgrace, that they are using the awesome mod community to provide a function that any decent game in this day and age should have as default.

While this does not directly answer your question, there is a way to alt-tab out of the game and back in successfully every time.

After alt tabbing out, click back to bring up the game and generally you get a black screen. Hit alt+tab again to bring up the horizontal list.

While that list is still up, click back in the skyrim window and everything will be fully functional again.

...but, it can be potentially unstable on some systems.

Very few games offer to remove the border when you use windowed mode.

I personally use simple borderless window, and it gives me the functionality, what i dont get is why this have not been implemented by the skyrim patch team (which most likely dont exist today)

Can someone come with a technical explanation of why they havent done this, or are they simply lazy?

I cant tell if you are being sarcastic....

The point is that most gamers have 2 or more screens, fullscreen borderless window means you can switch between skyrim on one screen and lets say a browser window on the other screen, so you can read up on something on the other, or whatever else.
