Official DLC Suggestion/Idea Thread #1

Post » Fri Aug 20, 2010 12:14 pm

A DLC in the rocky mountains, or some place like that. It would be an interesting change from the flat wastelands of the previous games. It could be full of caverns, Mutated animals; Bighorn sheep, Cougars, Maybe Eagles??

Anyways, that's my two cents.

I'm loving these ideas
I especially like The Reservation and the Boulder Dome

For my suggestion, if its not included in the game already, I'd like to see if http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Smoke_grenade could have another look. Or an area with a large Poseidon facility with some more cool weapons. :)

how about a return to the capital wasteland , like if valt kid died or mabee he never finished ... what if the enclave won the battle? it could boost sales of fo3
also all of fo3's dlc asside from broken steel could be re-enjoyed , not sure what years nv vs fo3 were but it'd be cool to get your old guy as a ally .. it whould easly double the game size i bet. not sure if this idea was posted yet , i quickly looked around ..didnt hit all the pages

How about a return to the capital wasteland?

I think it would be better to have totally new locations with a lore of new fun lore and storylines rather than rehashing something we already have an entire game for.

how about a military simulation? but this time it takes place in China,

Remember the GOBI campaign scout rifle we saw in one of the vids? > http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Gobi_Campaign_scout_rifle

Well why not expand on that?

(but less linear than OA was, with choices and more rpg elements?)

So instead of snowy plains we get a desert battle?

I personally would love to see Area 51 in a dlc, alien tech and experiments and maybe some insane scientists with oversized knifes :fallout:

Guys the new DLC is that Area 51 is Enclaves command base and they need a waste lander to help there "Motives" If you do help them you get to part of the enclave fraction (You get Un fev ed)
With all the perks. Or of course you could kill them all. If you remember broken steel there was a message from enclave high command so that means there has to be way more bases then that one.

carson city lake tahoe region, more lawless and rough western style then new vegas but still within the NCR somewhat, or as mentioned earlier Denver or even salt lake city with another point lookout style religious story, since slc is very religious to begin with.

I like the idea of turning some VB content into DLCs. If Obsidian is to make the DLCs, perhaps this would be possible.

Please no aliens / mothership Zeta inspired stuff. Area-51 is cool, but it doesn't have to be aliens.

I'm not much familiar with Fallout lore, but I'd like to see a Chinese invasion. After 200 years, a large Chinese faction sees North America as theirs for the taking, so the NCR and BoS form a brief and fragile relationship to fight them off. In the mean time, you can choose to spy on and steal technology from the BoS for the NCR or sabotage the NCR so that they take devestating losses when fighting the Chinese as requested by the BoS to shift power their way. Or both. Just so long as you don't get caught.

The Brahmin Capital of the World: THE FORT!...Worth...

The game will already have a heavy western theme. Imagine how Texas would be? DFW in the fifties wouldn't have been a high profile target for destruction, and might be relatively secure. Maybe just Dallas was destroyed, but Fort Worth would be a little more "intact." Huge Brahmin and slave markets at the "Stockyards."

texas is or was at one time owned by an army of super mutants, i doubt humans were able to form a stable city in that area to start a large brahmin ranching system. but i like the idea of a wild west style dlc for fallout, maybe kansas? like dodge city and the such? that hasnt been mentioned in lore yet so it might be intact enough to use.

Grand canyon anyone? mutated stuff in the water, huge map, some bighorn's. A quest involving the minority BOS in the southwest. maybe a conflict emerges between the BOS and NCR over politics; how they rule. I for one would love to see a full-scale war between too juggernaut groups, you can side with either, or, and each has its own benefits of course

I want to visit five places:

1. Vault 13
2. Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
3. Nevada Test Site
4. San Francisco(Yeah it's a bit far I know)
5. Good ol' Los Angeles.

What the DLC has in store for those locations, and if it's even centered around them(Some, I admit, are better more as flavor than anything else), but I want to be there. I want to see what the canon version of those locations looks like in stunning 3D.

If you want to visit those places you could always play Fallout 1 and 2.
Don't see the point of rehashing locations we've seen already.

I'd like a DLC that took us deeper in to the Omerta's(mafia) faction and operations, and maybe they ship us off to Chicago to work with their partners in crime, and somewhere through the story we are rewarded with the, dun dun duhhhh, Tommy Gun! :)

Wouldn't this be a problem for people who have already killed the entire Omerta mafia?

Been to mariposa twice. Been there, conquered it.

The master blew himself up with an A-bomb

Frank Horrigan is dust too.
