Official Fallout 4 Location Suggestions #2

Post » Mon May 09, 2011 6:21 am

We don't even know if China is even at war with the U.K., besides, this is Fallout, where all buildings of major importance survive a nuking because they're magic!

Thieve wouldn't half to. thieve made plenty of enemies in there own area to insure an attack.

You are completely disregarding the whole 'point' of Fallout, Fallout is NOT a realistic alternative history 'What-if' simulation. It is a game where the future turned out to be like the future as imagined in the 1950's. It is a game where a guy can carry 300 pounds of equipment and not go any slowe, it is a game where radiation turns you into a mutant. If it was in any way real ALL the major cites in the Fallout universe would be dust, including your beloved Dublin which would probably have been carpet bombed by the British ina post Resource-War land-grab.

Besides, London is marketable, people know London, the only building in Dublin I know of is the Post Office where a bunch of IRA men started a revolt in 1917 and as for Atlanta, and I know that Brussels has a statue of a little boy taking a piss.

Just on that subject, if anyone's in the area, make sure you visit "The Real Mary King's Close". An entire street, underground. Imagine the possibilities.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out when I go up to see my sis, Edinburgh is such a wonderful city, I'd love to live there myself, although if they did set a Fallout game there they would have to hire some local voice actors, nothing speaks pain louder than a bad Scottish accent (just look at Hydrophobia).

Also, KILTS! CLAYMORES! Who wouldn't want to just march along the Royal Mile cutting down Robotic Bobbies (or Roboplods) with a five foot sword (or one of the Billhooks from the Castle Armoury) whilst wearing a Tam O'Shanter. (yeah it's stereotypical but hell I love Scotland.)

I've always wanted to see a Fallout in some place other than the US. Moscow would be cool, so would London. They say the guy you meet in Megaton and paid to find out where your Father went came from Dublin. But what would really make me happy would be Beijing. I just want to see how badly we nuked them into the prehistoric era. I remember the missile launch sequence you could do in Fort Constantine (Fallout 3) and imagine some Chinese scavenger in the Chinese wasteland looking up as a nuke drops on him after that. :D But, yeah, seeing Fallout some where other than the US, see how other nations survived being turned into radioactive cinders with out Vault Tech vaults, like bomb shelters or their own idea of a vault maybe. That would be cool and a fresh idea for the Fallout universe.

There's one problem with playing in China, wouldn't it be rather unrealistic if everyone spoke English? and I'd hate to play an entire game in subtitles, Hong Kong on the other hand....

Fallout 4 should be either the story of the Brotherhood conquests Either south towards Florida or North towards Massachusetts.

New York City. Lots of landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, the new World Trade Center (will be completed in 2013), the Empire State Building, Central Park. Of course a lot of the city would be destroyed but there could still be skyscraqers standing.

They could also have the New England Commonwealth in the same game. Look like there could be factions like the Institute and the Railroad, which were mere footnotes in Fallout 3. The Institute is supposed to have lots of advanced technology as it was once MIT. They could salvage the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Boulder_Dome concept Van Buren for the Institute near Boston, except it would be a working facility instead of the chaos it would have been in Van Buren.

There's not much I could find on the wiki about that region it would be interesting to see how they could develop it.

Florida would also be nice, it would be more tropical instead of desert, beaches, the Cape Canaveral launch site. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Mutant_crocodiles, anyone?

I have to say a good location for FO:4 or a dlc would be Kentucky. I'm sure some ones going to reply with a , But seriously the area along the ohio river in the 50's was huge industry wise. Also the out of all the locations in the U.S. the people of Appalachia are the most prepared to survive a event like the great war. Theres also the history of slavery where the underground railroad to get slaves up north went right through Kentucky which they could fit in there some how, also bethesda could do something with the horse farms that kentucky is known for, adding cincinatti in there so you could have a bigger city would also be a idea. And the rumors of HUGE catfish in the ohio river which would only get bigger with the radiation. Wright patterson air force base with its relations to the roswell crash and aliens is pretty close too so that could be a dlc.

I honestly don't care, as long as there are two specific factions involved in the game :

The BoS...

and the Enclave.

Yes, I was introduced to the series via Fallout 3, so I may be slightly biased, but I have bought Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics, and I have played all 3 of them. I haven't finished Tactics, but I have completed Fallouts 1/2. I honestly miss the Enclave as a protagonist, despite their presence in several games. I don't know why, but I love watching the battle between them and the BoS. Plus, theres a very large portion of the US we don't know about, so the likelihood of them being in different states is great.
