Official Fallout 4 Location Suggestions #2

Post » Tue May 10, 2011 3:51 am

I think the Commonwealth would be a good idea, choosing weather you want to be a Restorationist or a Puritan would be fun, then we could have some DLC where you can go to Ireland where you get to raise merry hell as a Roundhead.

Why dungeons? theres a vast world out there that can be simulated. Why put it in an underground bunker. They should make a story ware it borders relationships between america and its neighbors.. I wouldn't want to play in nonstop dim light and close quarters.

*sigh*
My point was: Yes, we're starting to get repetitive, because Fallout 4 is most likely going to take place in USA and near or at a place we've heard of / seen in FO3 and it's most likely going to play out in a sandbox map like FO3 and not a map node system like the old games.
Therefor instead of suggesting "Commonwealth!" "Pitt!" "New York!" over and over and over again I suggested that people should try to suggest some kind of cool dungeons they'd like to see.

Agreed... I'd love to see an Insane Asylum where everybody (workers, psycos, visitors, guards, etc.) were all trapped in after the bombs fell. Eventually the extremely insane got out and slaughtered everybody...This place became known by nearby towns as Slaughter, rumored to have incretdible technology, medicine, and weaponry with many treasure hunters and some D.C. Brotherhood of Steel scouts showing up every so often, only leaving wounded and insane, if at all... Some of the insane still remain as ghouls (usually found in hallways, vents, or cells curled up in veto position shaking... usually only use knives or pieces of twisted metal and have orange jumpsuits with Slaughter written on the back, usually mispleed and the jumpsuits have lots of tears)... That would be awesome, blood stained walls and mutilated corpses...

Or guards, doctors, visitors and patients alike survived, patients didn't break out and killed everyone. Maybe the doctors, not any longer bound to laws, continued research on the patients (and visitors too), now even more horrible, as everyone were affected by radiation, chemicals, toxic gas or whatever, mutated, got crazier, got scarier, all that. It'd be a horror chapter in Fallout. Something about insane asylums that is so fricken scary. Maybe people would say it's haunted, maybe it would feel alot like it is haunted when you first get there, but since no one wants ghosts in Fallout there would actually be a logical reason behind it, whether it just turns out the place is full feral ghouls and other scary and disgusting mutations, since they were affected by chemicals and toxic gas aswell (I say they are, because I don't want it to just be feral ghouls). Maybe they can talk and scream and make scary sounds, make you can speak with some of them, maybe they (the doctors or guards who work for the doctors) kidnap people to use as test subjects...

Whatever you wanna call it. Crazy. Savage. Deranged. Insane. Mad.
I don't say they would be like feral ghouls as we know them. Maybe they'd move different, maybe they'd run away, sit in a corner, scream, cry, laugh, repeat words, speak to themselves and all that general crazines :)

I wish they'd be rid of the "feral ghouls" and instead bring back the krazies.
Ghouls who have basically lost their mind and are.. Well.. Bat-[censored] crazy, but not animal like.

That seems like a really good idea... But the'd have to have a story based explaination why there weren't any in F3 or Vegas...

And Mad Ghouls sounds pretty cool...

But as for the medical supplies, advanced technology and weaponry that Slaughter is rumored to have, there shouldn't be any...

Just two 5mm rounds and 14 stimpacks, some myths just need to be let downs...

I'm trying to think of another dungeon/[censored] terrifying location

How about a town where they lock up children at birth in an underground school/prison and only let them outside when they grow up, never to speak of their childhood to any outsider. That way the town will be the perfect paradise for advlts who don't need to worry about their little brats. That is until you come along and find out the reality of the town. Sort of like a reverse little lamplight.

Nope.
Jet in FO3.
Feral ghouls to begin with.
Vault doors opening inwards.
Incinerator in Vegas.
No Wattz series weapons in either of the Gamebryo games.
Vault suits are no longer spandex.
Ghouls look like burn victims.

They (sadly) don't need to explain anything. :(

Oh ok

I want to see another cannibal town/ group (Andale was so scary) and I'd also like to see a ghoul city that's (kind of) an actual city... atleast fifty people (unlike Underworld which had about twenty). They all don't have to be named (most could just be called _____ Citizen but it's got to have an awesome yet funny name that (might) make a zombie reference... any ideas?

Hmm, how about the next game (Unless it take place in Commonwealth) if it has a major city, like Vegas, that it's first class citizens are ghouls?
Would be nice with some change in it, I mean, there's gotta be "some" place out there which is controlled by ghouls and are bigots against humans.
Cause:
FO1 - Necropolis - A complete [censored]hole of a city.
FO2 - Gecko - A bunch of ghouls have settled down in an old nuclear reactor, but they aren't exactly a prosperous community IIRC.
FO3 - Underworld - A bunch of ghouls are barely scraping by in a museum.
FNV - Only ghoul community is Bright Brotherhood which... Well, let's just say they don't exactly plan to stay put on planet earth.

I want to see a place where ghouls are the top dogs. :woot:

I think that would be cool... I had an idea of such a place, if the next one takes place in New Yrok with the rapidly spreading commonwealth to the northeast, the radily spreading Ronto to the north west, and the rapidly spreading Pitt to the south west all trying to take over whats left of New York (as I posted before) than Queens (for all who don't know Queens is a burrow or section of New York City) is a propsering ghoul community where humans must purchase a special passport to visit (although there is not much there except a palace called ____ Castle (Still haven't come up with the name of the ghoul in charge). The place is called Queenburrow (apropriotly) and is ruled like a monarchy... Only ghouls get the high important jobs there... It used to be different when it was ruled by humans ghouls were their slaves, until an alliance was formed amongst the small rebel groups which overthrough the humans in Queens, since then it has been ruled by ghouls with noboy argueing or trying to take over.

Kinda like the Reservation
The Reservation is a ghoul town in New Mexico, built around an old scientific research station, the Los Alamos Nuclear Testing Facility. It is naturally highly radioactive. The ghouls are sick of being the underdogs of the wasteland, and they have a new leader who's going to stick it to the humans good, firing radioactive artillery shells via Nuclear Nellie into human occupied towns. Of course, Nellie isn't quite working right and the ghouls haven't figured out a way to move Nellie around easily....

Although if it's in the Commonwealth, it has to be a bit changed and maybe they don't fire artillery at human settlements, sounds a bit much like the Boomers. But otherwise!

I say there should be shirts, pants, jackets, and shoes/boots that could be like from Oblivion... I'd have a fadora and a trench coat... I'd also like more or all clothing goes under your Pipboy instead of you having to roll up your sleeves... Atleast for a trench coat

Games since Fallout 3

Fallout 3 based in Washington: DLCs Anchorage(Simulation) Point lookout(somewhere in Maryland) The Pitt(Pittsburgh of course) and others. Basically covered east central US
Fallout: New Vegas based in Las Vegas, Nevada: DLCs still in the making. Covers the Southwest

Possible locations

Southeast: Florida based in Miami: DLCs based in the surrounding cities like Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Atlanta, and Surrounding Areas in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee

Gulf Coast: Louisiana based in New Orleans: DLCs based in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas

Northeast: New York based in The Big Apple: DLCs based in Boston, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas of New England

Midwest: Chicago or St.Louis: DLCs based in Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati

Great Plains/Rocky Wasteland: Colorado based in Denver: DLCs based in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, and Montana

Northwest: Washington based in Seattle: DLCs Northern California, Oregon, Idaho, and throw in Vancouver for our Canadian friends

Texan Wasteland: Texas based in the Whole state of Texas: DLCs New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Put in Areas of Mexico

outside the U.S.

Japan: based in Tokyo: DLCs Surrounding Cities and Islands

China: based in Beijing: DLCs Surrounding Cities, Islands and Countrys ( I add China because a lot of nations prolly were p***** and nuked China in return)

UK: based in London: DLCs Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Iceland

How about the Sunbelt Wasteland?

Gulf Coast: Louisiana based in New Orleans: DLCs based in Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas

That'd be really cool, aslong as they have mutated alligators

Northeast: New York based in The Big Apple: DLCs based in Boston, Buffalo, Philadelphia, Baltimore, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas of New England

Boston is in the Commonwealth

Midwest: Chicago or St.Louis: DLCs based in Minneapolis, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Cleveland, and Cincinnati

I say it should be in Chicago with Detroit, in the game, sending cars with nuclear reactors to Chicago and a DLC in Detroit

Great Plains/Rocky Wasteland: Colorado based in Denver: DLCs based in the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Wyoming, and Montana

Any of those but Nebraska, no offence to people who live there but I hate Nebraska...

Northwest: Washington based in Seattle: DLCs Northern California, Oregon, Idaho, and throw in Vancouver for our Canadian friends

That'd be great, with the NCR scouts heading north...

Texan Wasteland: Texas based in the Whole state of Texas: DLCs New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Put in Areas of Mexico

Isn't that called Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, just kidding that never happened ;)

outside the U.S.

A Fallout game outside of the US and Canada would just not be Fallout (unless they do Fallout: Resource Wars in which case I want Europe vs. Saudi Arabia, USSR vs. Europe, and China vs. USA campaigns)!

etc.... the Fallout experience will never end

It should in like twenty years or so...

I think the best place for Fallout 4 to take place is the state of Arizona. I'm not talking about a 40 mile patch like NV with 20 miles unaccesable, the whole state (Scaled down of course). It would be the canon ending of NV in which the NCR won and is now pushing into Arizona to expand and destroy the legion while they're at their weakest. It would be an interesting situation. The NCR would have overexpectations and would be struggling to expand west of the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon would be the home of the Burning Man (Though a DLC will probably already cover that). The Enclave moved east and would be a major power player in the southern regions and would be about the importance of a second tier faction in NV. The legion would be militarily strong in the west against the NCR but in truth in the capital of Flagstaff revolts and riots are occuring more and more often as military leaders grab for control. The Brotherhood controls Yuma and are trying to discover the sercets of new portable fission that could change the world while fighting the NCR, Enclave, and Legion. Gangs of raiders are appearing more and more in Legion controlled terrirority destroying Legion supply lines between Flagstaff and Phoenix (terrorist maybe?). The Followers would be in Arizona trying to provide medical services while trying to deal with some hostility from the Legion. East of Flagstaff more and more rumors are appearing that military generals are becoming more independent. In the north near Utah's parks ghouls have created an anti Legion community and is struggling against constant human raids.

The game map would go from The Hoover Dam (which would reappear but wouldn't be a major point, only the starting point), east and south to Tuson and north to somewhat into Utah. There would be very few Vegas style settlements that are on the scale of the city or standard of living. The only two legion cities that aren't just military camps are Flagstaff (which looks Neo-Roman) and Phoenix which has been burned and scavaged down to a few high class manisons being built for the new Flagstaff leadership and turned into a versailles. The terrorist along I-17. Damn I would do alot for this game to be made.

I'd say London or some other western European city (Adding an international flair and larger perspective of the Fallout Universe)
Moscow (Massive, Iconic, unique environment and a lot off ways they can be creative)
Nagasaki Japan (Irony)
Buffalo NY (I live here so I have a bit of bias but even now the cities been severely depopulated and is LOADED with vacant industrial and residential facilities, perfect if they want to create a more super mutant or raider based experience)
NYC (The largest and most iconic city in the US and arguably the world)
New Orleans (Different swamp environment, the mississipi river, iconic and for a twist could still be capable of producing gasoline because of the oil refiniries)
Atlanta (Practically the capital of the south), Chicago (Iconic and one of the most populous cities in the country)
Honolulu (Tropical island twist on armageddon)
Miami/Cuba (with half of the game in each)
Boston (Because of its location as the heart of technologically advanced commonwealth).
