yeah it counts. But there are some issues with canon (see wiki article).

The main series line (as Bethesda defines it) is Fallout 1, 2, 3,. "Spin offs" are Tactics and New Vegas (with New Vegas being not so much a "spin off")

the "other one" *cough* BoS *cough* is NOT considered to be a Fallout game (for numerous reasons). As a result it has been spurned and its name stricken from the great codex that is Fallout canon.

I think that in fallout 4 there should be more modern weapons like say an AK-47 (origenol not that crapy american one) also an m16 or an m60 for the people who like to tern people in to bullet filled bodys. But there could also be world war 2 weapons like the browning machine gun and the mg42 o and the mg4. there could also be a pphs. I even have an idea on how they got there like say there was this big armory that had a lot of world war 2 guns in it but it also had the blueprints on how to build them and so a group of people that could be the gun runners or a diffrent type that still build guns in perfect condition along with other weapons. And for [censored] sack put in cars as a means of transportation and you can even customize it and stuff. And also put in more gun mods becaus some guns in New VEGAS didnt even have mods so in fallout 4 make like five mods for each gun but only allow three mods per weapon. And put more super mutants in the game because in New VEGAS there were like only a few small commintys of them and I think that ever one wonts them back also bring back the bemoath. And bring back gambling but more games in there like texas hold em or that game with the dice is called.

it would be quite interesting to visit Michigan/massachussets, and instead of it being the "Great Lakes", it could be called the "Great Wastes"

I know, how about we go up Montana way, and it can be set in 2283 when the Courier's illegitimate child is 19!

But seriously perhaps a Fallout that is spread across the Pacific Northwest, Most eastern part being the Western Border of Montana, with the main focus areas being Oregon and Washington. We could visited New Arroyo, which I believe is in Oregon. This is assuming they use a node system, preferably making most of the major areas have a decent amount of land to explore. We could visit desert, mountains, green areas, etc. with that region, making it so people who love deserts and people who would rather have a differed setting satisfied.

Seattle, for example, could have a settlement established in and around the Space Needle, possibly having the mayor/sheriff residing in the top. There is an island near there called Vashon Island, which could house an isolationist tribe that often takes shots at any boat that approaches, scaring off scavengers.

Alternatively, Vashon Island could be a trading hub that handles most of the trade traffic from Seattle settlements, Tacoma, and the Olympic Peninsula.

1. they already have m16s and aks or a basic replica, and also the original was crap, the American remake is vastly superior

Fallout 4
The Southern Capital
You are a vault dweller of vault 46 located in Atlanta Georgia. You are born into a time of war for Georgia as its largest faction The Red Arrow is planing on taking on the north after a group of BoS members where found. The BoS attacked the Red Arrows thinking they where monsters. This made the red arrow mad and ever sense have been planing on destroying what ever is up in the north. Your vault is cot in the middle as during one of there battles your vault was uncovered and was taken hostage by the BoS. You get lucky and escape in hopes of freeing your vault. You find out the Red Arrow is a large group of animal tamers that controls a total of 74% of the new southern states. There numbers have grown with the addition of a group of talking death claws. There numbers out rival the north 9 to 1 but there technology is low as there only weapons are automatic cross bows and the animals they tame. Whos side will you choose in hopes of freeing your vault or destroying it. (just saying but both sides will ether free or destroy but it depends on what you do) Monster Ideas are on page 2

Fallout 4
The Frozen War
You are a marine protecting Alaska from the Chinese. After the Great war what was left of china was sent to Alaska in hopes of taking what metal and oil that was left to rebuild there home land but were greeted by an odd site. A USA army protecting the land. Alaska at the time was the only state not to get a vault so it suffered much. Like much of the world there was a large toxic rain that had infected the state but it wasn't the same. The cold had turned the rain to snow. It had the same effects but it hit harder and only lasted a simple 2 days. The clouds however staid as if frozen in place by the very snow it produced. The Chinese where scared of this fact when they where sailing here claiming that they looked like floating mountains. Most Alaskans died. all who were left were marines whos bases had bunkers. This battle has been going on for 177 years and still is strong. Will you keep the fight going or will you end it.
side note (most creatures here are smaller or fatter compared to there waste land counter parts)

Fallout 4
Island of fire
You are a child who was put into vault one build out of the Hawaiian Volcano. The lava was drained and used to help make small islands far from the main land in hopes of actually making a new country safe from the war. this plan failed as the war started before the island had cooled. back at Hawaii Vault one was finish being built and was free for all of the islanders. You are five and your family had the lucky fortune of getting in line next to your best friend. As you get closer to the door you start to hear buzzing and every one looks up. The nukes had arrived but the ships defending the island where able to fight off most. Seeing the bombs your family runs for the vault. The door starts shutting and you are lifted in the air. your dad throws you there the door with your best friend right before it closes. Only half the island made it in. Once in you are taken to a large cryostasis bed where you will sleep for 100 years. Once awake some people leave the vault. Many are dead. You meat you best friend and you both go out to see this new world. once grown you find your new homes government is corrupt and wants to turn all of Hawaii into slaves. You fight for your freedom finding monsters mutated by the toxic rain. (the only old fashion monsters are ghouls and Mirelurks. The rest are sea based creatures who evolved thanks to the toxic rain. ) You explore all the islands in homes of gaining followers to over throw this government. Will you take over and lead or will you just be as corrupt as the last leader.

This is not my idea.

Fallout: Origins
Basically the player fights the major wars of the great war, Canada, China etc. Maybe even the resource war in Europe, and then at the time of the war the protagonist gets put into a time capsule and that ends the game.
Fallout: Origins: Part II
The unknown man frozen in time is revived but he has been revived after the great war, the wars he has fought are a good 50 years behind him, he must adjust to post-war and learn to survive the harsh life of the wasteland.

If we had vehicles, maybe we could have game worlds several times bigger, so you can fit in a lot of wasteland between settlements. Just saying. :whistling:

It's not a vehicle issue but a game engine issue.

We are still talking about Fallout 4 which won't have this [censored] [censored] engine. If it do, I won't buy it.

But fast travel would be rendering it effectively useless.

Fast travel would not be as fun, and you would not get to listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BIP90IV6EqA.

Why
give it a story. Dont just throw it out like a garbage bag. If you want it to happen sell it. Give a background and story Like I did for my 3 ideas just 4 post above yours.
Just putting it out makes it look like you could care less.

Yes I know, I'm sure it will be run on the engine Bethesda uses for Skyrim
Hey don't get me wrong I would love a worldspace as big as you are talking about but there is no game engine out there that will handle that, not to mention they have to make the game in accordance with what consoles are on the market at the time.

Post Apocalyptic Europe? They could make everything up if it is there, as we have not been there yet(?). There can be civilized, or it could be just as the most early Post apocalyptic times. Think about the possibilities. Endless. :disguise:

This may be a stupid suggestion but does nobody think that post-apocalyptic brooklyn new york, new jersey, pacific etc. wouldnt be a good setting? you could re-introduce the tommy gun haha and it seems like it follows a similar feel of fallout 3 with the city ruins. And having the pacific right there that might be useful for something
