A game set in Texas? Never happened, you're mad, madder than Mad-Jack Mc-Mad, winner of last years Mr Madman Competition.

I'd say we put it in Jan Mayen.
It's a volcanic island with around a dozen in population.
It'd be great!

Fallout 1 and 2 covered a pretty huge part of California, with The Glow to the south, and Klamath in the north, north of Redding, and everything inbetween.

I was having a dumb-dumb moment. I thought he meant Fallout 2, but I think he was talking about NV.

I think he's aware of Fallout: Broth... ehrm..."which we do not speak of", he just doesn't want to acknowledge its existance. ;)

Although I would love to see the next Fallout game set in NYC I just get the felling it isn't going to happen, but they could do one in Atlantic city it may be in some ways similar to FONV but yet different since its on the other side of the country. You could have the Mafia motif with it. And gambling would still be a factor in Atlantic city. It would easily fit into the 50s world of tomorrow motif that the fallout universe is set in. There would be some great places to explore, Like the Pine Barrens and don't forget Coney island and the boardwalk and even have some factions from Fallout 3 involved like the Talon company and maybe it could have DLC that takes you to NYC or even the Common Wealth, even Jersey shore references (LOL last part was a joke). But seriously I think this would be a great next game. What do you think?

I read a pretty good Fan-Fic about how the remaining troops in the area in and near NYC got together and managed to fight off most of the chinese bombers, nothing they could do about the missles (working from memory... read it about 2-3 weeks ago)... But soon afterwards everything fell apart, a terrible load of raider gangs etc.

It'd be a great place for a gam, as long as they don't have it destroyed.

Fallout: Oak Ridge, Tennessee would be amazing. The nuclear facility there is where they basically made the first atomic bomb and during the time many dams were built in the east Tennessee region. The factions could be the TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) and possibly a group of farmers or locals angry about the TVA taking their land for the construction of dams, and the brotherhood of steel could be there trying to secure the nuclear facility and its secrets. The radio could play classic bluegrass country and rock music such as Elvis.

I would like if it was in New York, but keeping it inline with the growth of the NCR, which seems to be the underlying story in all of the Fallouts (except maybe 3 and Tactics), would also be nice.

i'm sorry, but the location for FO4 is not going to be some town 95% of us have never heard of in the middle of nowhere, not a bad idea though.

if you know anything about the creation of the atomic bomb you know about oak ridge, people just like to ignore it because it is in Tennessee but Tennessee is actually a very nice state with some good resources and industry that really started booming in WW2 with the TVA and opening of the Oak Ridge nuclear facility.

I don't think they could make a whole game on the only idea that the atomic bomb was built there. Fallout isn't about nuclear bombs, its about survival. I think the environment would be really cool, but to make a whole game on the area where the bomb was created, that isn't enough. Maybe like San Fran

yes, but the fact that there are like 3 dams in the area that would be fought over for power, the brotherhood would be trying to keep the information and weapons within the facility, the people trying to survive, and the easily imagined factions make it an easy place for the setting.

I wouldn't say the NCR is the main story... Alot of people want to see it plunge into a civil war (including me!)

As i've posted NYC could work.

How about a man-made mini-continent in the pacific ocean, that was built on-top of the current Pacific Garbage patch. It could be where the Enclave have been hiding this entire time.
Just picture it. It would make perfect sense because that location would give them immediate access to Alaska, Canada, Hawaii, Russia, Japan ,and China.
I often wondered where the Enclave has been for the past 200 or so years.

The environment could be this oddly green metal and plastic wasteland, where sickly palm trees grow atop skeletons and mysterious machines that never got out on to the battle field against China.
In the day the sun would generate a warm glow that feeds and strengthens the growing plant life. However the nights are filled with random electrical storms that strikes the metal with thunder powering the mecha-continent's ancient defenses and machinery.

Their would be almost no human mutations and no Super-mutants posing as threats, however as in all Fall-out games, this is a wasteland.
your enemies would most commonly include mutated plant and aquatic animal life or gangsters and raiders. The more ferocious enemies would be rogue computer programs and robots that have the home field advantage.

I would call it the Pacific wasteland, but it's, of course, only a suggestion.

Great idea. Maybe you could decideto stop the robots, work with them, or do the very difficult path to take them over.

Well heres my Idea for

Fallout
The Southern Capital

For the next fallout in the big consul series I was hoping for a fallout in the south. I was hoping to see what happened in the south. Did it survive, Did it return to what it once was, DID THE CATFISH MIRELURKS TAKE OVER.
To me the very next Fallout game sould take place in the south. Its the only place in america where things havent been shown and would be a great way to tell more story being that majority of Americas best fighters are in the south.
I even have a few monster Ideas

catfish mirelurk
There just as strong as the Super mutant overlord How ever they only attack if you attack first. Rarely alone as they hunt in packs of 4. You first see them when fighting a mirelurk and it runs off after seeing one of these beast right behind you.

Talking deathclaw
These creatures are strait from the west. They live in a small village out side Atlanta. They unlike most deathclaws are nice and only eat Brahmin. They are the biggest farmers of these creatures in the eastern part of the U.S. of A. You will see that most of there meat stock is only 1 headed. They milk the ones with 2 heads.

Hounds
While most dogs in the waist land are radiated and very mean the hound dogs of the south were protected for hunting purposes in case the vaults opened.

The red Arrows
A faction only seen in the south that are made up of animal tamers (Humans), Talking deathclaw's, and the beast tamed by them. You will see they have captured a large amount of beast and show some off. They have plans to go north and take over (which they have the man power for) but they think its best for them to send a message first. There like Brotherhood of Steel but instead of machines they use animals. They are much stronger then the Brotherhood of Steel but aren't as spread out as them showing they aren't good with communication.

I hope you like my Ideas for creatures and hope you want a fallout in the south
as much as I

being that Atlanta is the capital of the south I was shocked to see no one has thought of it.

(Also catfish mirelurks and talking death claws would not be new as if you played Fallout 1 you would see the 2 doing a quest)

Good idea.

very few of these suggestions have anything about power generators, weapon facilities, or any other major survival tool to be fought over or they involve a setting extremely similar to the ones already potrayed in previous fallout games in areas like a desert or major city.

Fighting over a power source was done in Vegas... Deserts and major city ruins make up most of the Fallout Universe.
