Official: Future Fallout Locations Suggestions Topic #12

If the glue is gone I don't see the Legion sticking together. Old grievances and past wrongs would surface with nothing holding them back. Some may band together but it'll only be the most dedicated of them and likely it'll also be single tribes.
We don't know what is canon. Though I would like to see a Legion controlled Flagstaff.

Has anyone said tropical yet? Maybe Miami, I always thought that would be nice. Sort of like Scarface theme. The Brotherhood did inhabit Florida. LOTS of alligators, "radigators".

That is a great idea or even the swamps of Louisiana, and New Orleans alone could offer lots of unique play area's.

Not the South, it should be up north to try and answer some questions we have about Philly and the Commonwealth and New York and not begin a whole new chapter of the game.

I know we all have unanswered questions, but going south can always open doors to more intrigues, questions and answers. I am not so sure I want to dive into the commonwealth yet, it almost seems as if it would be an ending.

Nobody cares for New York City, it's too overused and really not that interesting of a place to start with. So many movies, games, and other media have used it for a place of post-apocalyptic catastrophe. Have the Fallout franchise be different, not use it. Besides, like most cities of it's kind, it would probably be flooded everywhere anyway. Or better yet just flattened completely by nukes.

Best if they did something with/in New York State, it was somewhere like Buffalo, Albany, or somewhere else in the West/North of the state. But not NYC, ever.

What about Kingston? I'd like that.

But I'm biased, I'm from Kingston originally.

Anywhere really, besides NYC I think would be fine for a New York setting. Kingston works since it's not NYC.

Isnt is Canon that NYC is a smoking crater?

Miami with a DLC in Cuba would be awesome. I dont like doing another desert Fallout aka Arizona/cali/west texas would be a good idea.

what about Denver? There is a lot to deal with that for would it be too much like skyrim?

The Legion? I think it would break up like Roma did into kingdoms of legion, west, north, east and south. Now that would be interesting to see the legion evolve into kingdoms say of the Bull Legion, Eagle Legion, Scorpion Legion and Rio Legion...where the player has to bring them together by force or diplomatic means or shift them from slaves to freemen serfs medieval type society. Maybe raiders coming from Azteca and from the North and East with a nod to a gladitor revolt and their leader. :P

But honestly i think FONV should be the latest date they should turn back the clock a bit with the next game make to the same era as FO3.

Ok cool.

I am partial for Chicago though but I wouldn't be dissapointed in a New York State setting (or pertty much anywhere in the US for that matter).

There is no post-war canon about New York City.

I'm not sure about a Cuba DLC. I would play it but I think Bethesda might want to keep it in the US.

Denver would be pretty cool.

I think the NCR would break down into waring city states before the Legion does. NCR needs to just over expand and collapse already, Legion should stick around for a but longer than collapse into a few countries, maybe one or two just being incredible places to live with no drugs, violence, or corruption along with freedom for everybody.

I disagree, F3 seemed less than a decade after the Great War two hundred years later. NV looked and felt about two hundred years (I klnow its 204, I said about because of how close it is to the same time as F3) after the apocalypse.

It would make more sense for there to be a Florida DLC, take place in the Florida Keys, than on Cuba. The island isn't that big, and it's not like you can go from one end of the island, to the other in a day, it does take a couple days, to get from the west end to the east end of Cuba, or vice versa. The Keys are smaller, and would be more realistic for a DLC there.

Why would Denver be like Skyrim?

snowy mountains....that is all.

I was thinking a DLC like the alaskan one for Cuba. Well the NCR and the Legion collapsing would be ironic both collapses caused by Hoover Dam.

The Rockies aren't snowy year round though.

And like I said, the Florida Keys are better suited for a Florida DLC, than Cuba.

As for a ironic collapse, the NCR is more likely to collapse in it's current economic and political state, after the battles at Hoover Dam, than Caesar's Legion is, by far. I have a feeling that even though Caesar's Legion could be defeated, their fanaticism to Caesar would still be quite high even after a defeat like that. Their whole way of living anyway, isn't run on energy like the NCR, their game is Slaves obviously, and the slave-game isn't dying out as long as Caesar and his Legion can find new tribes to take on and control.

I think that Chicago would be awsome. lots of city and lots of metro, but you shouldnt have to take a metro to get into chicago so the people that hate metros dont have to go in. Plus theres countless land marks and countless opportunity for random communities and many suberban areas to do so. The great lakes are right next to it, and it would be really cool if there was a random weather thing put into the game, cuz i live 30 mins from chicago and the weather is so friking random. but yeah mabey also season put into the game, id like to see a post apocoliptic snow storm. I loved the random rain in Honest Hearts so yeah.

and talking with just other random things to put in, if in chicago the area could be so big and would be nice to put bobble heads back, i love collecting random crap and bobble heads and just tons of random stuff. In fallout 1 and 2 the things that happened were so random, like the monty python bos and the star trek location, and the talking head. and the talking deathclaw as a partner. I want to see random stuff like that happen again. with some other random things like from fo3 weather their funny or not just random encounters.

and talking about fast travlel i think it would be nice to do what was done in fo1 and 2 where you fast travle and you stop because of a random encounter, i mean not constantly but every once and a while would be cool. anywayyyy thats my 2 cents to the discussion. :fallout:

Texas. Its new, has cool features like the Alamo, Fort Hood along with 14 other military bases, (Fort Hood is the largest military base in the U.S, mabey even the world). Also I believe a really interesteing "old world oil" related story line could be implemented due to Texas's rich oil indistry and the Texan personality. Yes I know all oil is supposed to be gone and we switch to Micro Fusion but think about how much controversy and would be caused if some faction were to get their hands on a substantial amount of oil. That right there would allow that faction to become more powerful than anyone else. Therefore you have the main factions fighting to get the oil, tons of secondary factions to recruit, plenty of intersting places to see and explore....sounds good to me!

i for one think that a game set in Detroit would be amazing, it is such a rich area, just like las vegas, that it would make an excellent place for a fallout game. imagine 200 years of detroit being the boom town that it was, it would provide an amazing backdrop from which there could be one of the most interesting and expansive games that has come out yet, imagine being able to explore all the factories, and id imagine there would be plenty of military factories there too. i for one would love to have million square foot factories to expolre, and maybe you could even get it started up again. this is also somewhere not really mentiuoned in any other game, so id like to see some new and different faction to have formed, and maybe even have them run into the legion or ncr or house, depending on who you sided with in new vegas, give the people who loyally play and follow this franchise some thing back. but no matter where they put it, i want to see something to do with what happened to the pre war government

I'm iffy on Detroit, because before they made nuclear powered cars Detroit was probably a dump like it is today. Also Detroit is proball between 1,000-2,000 miles away from Vegas, so it would take a while to get there.

It doesnt matter how far apart they are...its not the same "wanderer". The main guy in Fallout 3 is not the same as the courier in New Vegas. So in Fallout 4 I am thinking itll be the same guy as in Fallout 3. They could go with a whole new wastelander also. But I still dont think it matters how far the next location is from DC considering I want Texas. Aside from that it could even be in California so I really dont think it matters.
