Official: Future Fallout Locations Suggestions Topic #12

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 1:27 pm

There have been a number of threads started to promote the idea of a particular location as a great setting for the next Fallout game. We have decided to keep the suggestions and discussion of different location ideas into one thread. Any new threads started about a location idea for Fallout will be locked or moved to this thread.

This thread should be used to discuss the different settings you think would work for a future Fallout game. Feel free to toss around the pros and cons (as you see them) for a new setting for a future Fallout game, but remember to keep any criticism or "cons" about a location within the rules for civil discussion.

To elaborate on two points made above, "setting" can refer to a time and situation as much as a place. This thread should also be used for any such discussion for any potential Fallout titles, not just Fallout 4.

Philadelphia is my #1. Because it is close enough for Lyon's BoS to move there in 10 years to continue their story, and it is far enough away to have different stuff.

And I'm pretty sure Bethesda put Fallout 3 in DC because they wanted to accurately add some architecture and geography or something along those lines, so I think the next one will be within a relatively close distance to DC if they want to do that again, so they spend less money.

While I don't agree on the location, I do agree that a big reason F3 was in DC was the fact that their basically located there. It seems more than a few devs are moving to, or setting up studios where their games take place. Which allows them to truly understand the atmosphere that their games should have.

I've said it before(this isint where I want it, just where I think it will be) but I'll say it again, Boston. That's where I see them taking Fallout, and hey, that's still close enough for Lyons BoS(not that I'm particularly fond of them)

My #1 would be a tie actually, between Chicago and just about anywhere in Arizona.

next game′s have to be on a bigger map so instead off mack the game on a city i think we have to aim in size of a state, so where can fallout 4, 5, 6, 7,.... be:
  • one of the 50 USA states.
  • one of the Canadian states
  • Mexico
  • an island grope in pacific
  • an island grope in Caribbean
  • chines east cost
  • England, so you who don't lick subtitles can play, but star-wars works fine whit subtitle's so why not fallout!
  • e/w Germany, Berlin
  • Moskva/Leningrad/Stalingrad triangle area
  • Scandinavia

  • Fallout 4 Alaska, DLC Canada
  • Fallout 5 Hawaii, DLC Pacific
  • Fallout 6 Shanghai, DLC Japan
  • Fallout 7 Moscow/Stalingrad/Leningrad
  • Fallout 8 Germany
  • Fallout 9 GB
  • Fallout 10 Scandinavia

The legion are boring, relentless killers who slave people and brainwash their soldiers to believe bull crap. There's your lore.

I don't like or do I care for the Legion at all. I would actually enjoy the next game in Detroit (my home town) or Chicago, or obviously somewhere in Texas.

The only part of the Legion we have seen is their army, of course their army is going to be full of relentless killers. We have seen and spoken to both the soldiers and the citizens of the NCR and we often hear different stories from them. I want to see the capital of the Legion and learn what their citizens are like so we can bring Fallout even further into grey territory.

You dislike their army and their leadership, none of us know anything about the actual people who live in Legion territory.

Its a huge city with metros and stuff, and it is sort of historical. And it is eight next to two more states, so they could say that it is in multiple states.

Only real reason you recognized DC is that Bethesda made it intact, when it really shouldn't have been.

No City seems fun after you have lived in it for a while, but once bombs start falling and factions move in they get a whole lot better.
