If they ignored Maine, I'm sure Rhode Island would be added accurately. Besides, Maine is like the quiet guy in the corner of a loud party nobody sees or hears, and is too socially inept to speak up properly.

Who is Maine? Anyone knows who invited him?

No, son or later the game will go outside us border′s!!
You don't actually know this, none of us do. I'd be interested in something outside of the US, but I have no idea when or even if Bethesda would do such a thing.

Or if they did, it would blow sooooo badly.

True, we don't even know if its going to be a fallout 4 or any spin-off games but if it will a series of games i think it will go ex:

  • Fallout 4 Alaska, DLC Canada
  • Fallout 5 Hawaii, DLC Pacific
  • Fallout 6 Shanghai, DLC Japan
  • Fallout 7 Moscow/Stalingrad/Leningrad
  • Fallout 8 Germany
  • Fallout 9 GB
  • Fallout 10 Scandinavia

just a prediction, nothing more

Have you forgotten that there's still tons of land in the US, that hasn't been touched by Fallout. Why would Alaska and Hawaii, be the last in America? There's still plenty in the Midwest. Other places that haven't been touched are: Pacific Northwest, Western US states of Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Northeastern US, and all the Southern states in the Southeastern part of the country. Plus South Central United States, like Texas, Oklahoma, etc. All these places are still ripe for the picking.

ye ye the hole world is still ripe for the picking. And as long as its stays in USA it will be a rerun on the old and as you see on this forum its a growing interest on what happened global and it will grow more and more for every game that come out!

That doesn't mean it's going to happen. With all the rich history and such that these various parts of the US have, there's nothing to stop them from going to them, as long as they can grab enough of that history and make it something interesting for a wasteland. It's not all a rerun, the history of all these places is all very different, even though at some points, they overlap, but still there's plenty of individual history to look into and exploit.

Sorry to say but the only place in USA that have a real history is New England and Hawaii, of you don't count the Indian history!
So if you aim for history you have to go to the rest of the world!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan

I know what it is sheesh

But why the heck would you even suggest Japan as a dlc considering it is rarely, if ever, mentioned in the fallout universe and has NO 50's VIBE at all.

Plus everyone would be speaking freaking Japanese!

Does future fallout locations also include towns and settlements that you make?

Like megaton and stuff? Or just states and regions...

I guess Japan must have bean a very strategic location during the war whit China so it have probably lodes of chines and / or US tropes in it in combo whit the 50′s stereotype had on japan in films and stuffs.

Says the guy who claimed that Texas and Nevada/California were in the same general area. You're again, flat out wrong in saying the only real history of the US, is in New England and . . . Hawaii? <--- Seriously, you're going to say Hawaii has more US history, than the mainland? You're seriously delusional and oblivious to US history, so my advise is you just try and stop claiming things about a country, you don't understand or know much about. You don't see anyone else on here, claiming to know the history of your country, or anyone else's, but are just flat out wrong, so don't try and do it with the US, you only look silly.

Ever heard of the American South? It's rich with history, and not just of the Civil War, but plenty of other events and wars happened in the South that shaped it. The most famous battle of the War of 1812, Battle of New Orleans, took place in none other than New Orleans, Louisiana which is in the South. The Midwest, plenty of songs and stories, and history written about it during the 1930s. Pacific Northwest has tons of Native American culture not like that of the Plains or Southwestern Native Americans, or even Eastern Natives. Not to mention, it would be, during the war with China in the Fallout Universe, a major place for lumber considering that's what it's best known for.

I could go on, but I won't since it really makes no difference, you never listen to reason.

Or...we could pick a US region for the game with pre-existing 50s culture which is much more in depth than some impersonators.

And also, America didn't invade Japan soil after ww2.

Why do you call them vaults when they are in fact, bomb shelters, blast shelters or fallout shelters.
Because that is what they are called in the Fallout Universe. Vault 101, Vault 13, etc. vaults aren't just bomb shelters or fallout shelter's. Vaults are like a bank, except the thing being stored isn't money, it's humanity. Vault were made to safehouse certain aspects of humanity for when the inevitable happened.

@Dr Strangelove & Savage - Hey hey hey, don't beat on us Mainers! :P Though, what you say is 100% true. :sadvaultboy:

@vajan - Just because it hasn't happened, doesn't mean it will.

I think you're confused. I meant that if the game were set in Rhode island the state wouldn't fit the entire state without shrinking the entire thing.

I'm not really sure what you just said. All you had to do was be alive 11 years ago for an event called 911, ever heard of it? But that is just fake history.

That was called my sarcasm. :) I Point is everyone has heard of it, and it is history, and it wasn't in New England.

If I really really wanted to, I could probably think of 1,000+ historical things, people, and places in a couple hours if I wanted.

Edit: Its best to just agree, fyi.

Generalization much?

I now people from other countries who go into rage mode ridiculously easily and then there are people born in America who can hold their temper for years.

Stereotyping is what starts wars.

And WONDERWOMBAT didn't seem mad.

On Topic:

I really want Chicago but I could see New York (NOT New York City, it's too overused), Boston, Phili, Seattle, Houston (or any other major city in Texas), Florida (mutant crocodiles if so), and many other locations working.
