That wouldn't be good geographically. Yellowstone is the site of a supervolcano and experiences between 1000 and 2000 earthquakes a year. It isn't really the best place to put a Vault.
It would be interesting to see what happneed to that type of area after a nuclear war though.
Are there actice lava flows? Definately potential there.
I also dont think earthquakes are a big factor in not having vaults. Cali has a lot of quakes and has some vaults.

I still would love to see the four corners area given proper attention.

Los Angeles on the Skyrim engine. New Vegas had a Wild West feel to it, but could very well be touched upon.

Combat on ATV's, cannibal tribes, motorcycles, wars for gas, ak-47's, or just bring it back to New Vegas 200 years later with more casinos.

Los Angeles was in Fallout 1. When people in New Vegas mention the LA Boneyard that's what they're talking about.

I dislike the idea of ATVs, cannibal tribals are cool, all gas was used up before the war and so nobody can be fighting over it anymore, AK-47s were replaced by AK-112s in F2, and jumping another 200 years and going back to New Vegas would pretty much change the game to a life simulator in a stable nation surrouned by either land of that nation or other stable nations.

I agree on everything rxept the ATV's. We need something to carry our stuff tempararily wothout campanions and to move more quickly because with how fallout is the map will only get bigger

But ATVs don't really fit the setting.

If we had cars that lacked doors, roofs, or walls then we could have a balanced and fitting vehicle.

I would like to revisit Los Angeles again though on a Skyrim engine. I just want that Wild West feel, even if we have to go to Texas.

Also, Detroit already looks like a post-apocalyptic World.

Texas has a lot of history with Indian tribes, guns, and the whole death sentence thing. I picture a desolate future for them after a nuclear war.

What are peoples thoughts on New York and surrounds? Depending on the devastation you could have some interesting geography.
Its generally considered to a bit over-used.

I want a place that's rural with lots of small towns (but bigger than Skyrim's, of course). Like Kansas, for example.

LA is NCR territory now, there wouldn't be anyone but NCR there.

Since I dont really know americas geography, I'd simply like to see area that actually has/had a nuclear reaserch facility that would be(in game) as dangerous as the Glow.

TEXAS!!!

Texas would likely be invaded by Caesar's Legion going eastward. The NCR would have to go across Nevada, Arizona, and New Mexico, just to get to Texas. Which would involve them continuing to come into conflict with Caesar's Legion.

Best if neither are seen in Texas, and newer factions are made.

not even into a border town? cus like you know like the factions of fallout really obey ancient map lines....I am sure Charlemagne obeyed the lines of a roman map.I dont want to see Texas unless it is Houston or East Texas. Detriot/Windsor is the way to go

The NCR is in Baja, but that doesn't mean we're going to go there.
