But ATVs don't really fit the setting.

If we had cars that lacked doors, roofs, or walls then we could have a balanced and fitting vehicle.

Post-war ATV-esque vehicle maybe? :P what you said too. And some pre-war junk-o-mobile, with doors and body still there but rusty, dirty, scratched, damaged, dented and bullet-riddled :)

Who would what to go to Baja?

Windsor is right across the river from Detriot to the south...why wouldnt you go there in the game? oh no its too far away1!!!!!

What if in the Baja they have all those drug tunnels. Maybe that is where the "ghosts" are hiding.

i dont know if this has been mentioned yet, and i dont think this would be good as part of the series but what about a DLC that takes place in Russia or China after the bombs fell and tell a little of their story and what happened there it sounds cool to me any way. I think the mid-west may be a good location there are large cities and plains its already a wasteland lol here it would be like the pitt kinda.

I would like to revisit Los Angeles again though on a Skyrim engine. I just want that Wild West feel, even if we have to go to Texas.
that is a good idea my friend was just talking about using the Skyrim engine.

no not Texas we have already done that part of the world

We have not, the Burned Game never happened (another time you are proven wrong).

If you mean that general region then I half agree, I would rather the Mid West.

If you mean the whole country I completely disagree.

Post-war ATV-esque vehicle maybe? what you said too. And some pre-war junk-o-mobile, with doors and body still there but rusty, dirty, scratched, damaged, dented and bullet-riddled

I guess that would work very well in the game.

Cars wouldn't be overpowered and would run so badly you're better off buying a much slower animal who you can use to pull a cart of you can ride on the back of.

that is a good idea my friend was just talking about using the Skyrim engine.

Welcome to the Forums!

There would be nothing to do in the middle of NCR territory besides view there corruption and for NCR supporters to realize how right Caesar is about them being a tumor for the wasteland.

I disliked Skyrim's engine and I wish for a better one.

Don't mind too much as long the story is good and the landscape new with a lot of new items and quests. And the Skyrim engine would be better.

Seriously look at a damn map! Fallout and Fallout 2 take place in California and Fallout New Vegas takes place in Las Vegas Nevada. They aren't that close to Texas. Do you even know where Texas is?

Here is a map of the USA. Fallout, Fallout 2 and New Vegas are outlined and so is Texas. ==> http://www.project610.com/files/Texas.png

As you can see they are very far apart and not in the "same corner." Also California and Nevada aren't Oil well cowboy territory.

For guy that says he's never wrong, you sure are wrong alot. Completely ignorant of American geography, to lazy to even look at a damn map.

 Just look at a map will you. Fallout 1, 2, and New Vegas don't take place at all in the general area, where Texas is. Last I checked, Texas is not considered apart of the Western/Southwestern United States.

Texas, lived here all my life. If a future Fallout game took place here and the map was big enough it should definitely encompass the "Texas Triangle". Dallas/Ft.Worth down past Austin to San Antonio then over to Houston and back up to D/FW. That's a lot of area to cover so I doubt that would happen unfortunately. The Dallas and Ft. Worth area could be interesting but it'd probably take up half the game map though, lot of urban sprawl in-between the two cities.

Texas was too, Cowboy. Beef was one of Texas's largest things back in the day, the Texas Rangers were just the law in some cases who got some pretty press and stories. Cattle ranching was a big thing in Texas for a long time, and what most of Texas was back in the days of the Old West. Why do you think Texas Steer is so synonymous with the Old West?

The Gunfighters (Wild Bill, Billy the Kid, Jessie James, Butch Cassidy & Sundance, etc.) were elsewhere like New Mexico, Arizona, Montana, Kansas, Utah, Missouri, etc. Texas was a bunch of cattle ranchers.

As much as I wan the next Fallout to take place in the Four Corners area, perhpas it should be in the commonwealth area.

That way Bethesda can be the East Coast Fallout™ makers.
And Obsidian can be the West Coast Fallout™ makers.

The same general area means nothing the biomes and geography of California, Neveda, Orgeon and Tecas are completely different. With the Accents they speak with and their general culture. So the Fact that is was ex Apache, ex Spainish, ex Mexican, Ex Confederate land means nothing.

You forgot Wyoming Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid operated there out of the Hole in the Wall.
