Official: Future Fallout Locations Suggestions Topic #13

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:42 am

Massachusetts, specifically, the Commonwealth. Probably just The Commonwealth, and not the Commonwealth Wasteland.

Lots of possibility in the area, and I detail my thoughts here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1355806-fallout-4-speculation-suggestions-ideas-thread-55/page__st__240

In short, there is already established lore, characters, and factions, New York is a possible DLC, and Desmond could make a return FTW.

If it's going to be somewhere new it seems the most logical to me that the New York area is the place to go. Although I'd like a map node system and for it to span the larger area and include Boston, Toronto and Montreal. That would take a lot of work and reduce the size of the cities though, but that's what the old games did and I had no problem with that, just make it interesting enough, all quality.

http://savagebeatings.deviantart.com/gallery/34104749#/d4mkmxv is the area I'd like to see. Kind of. Maybe less of Canada, but at least http://savagebeatings.deviantart.com/gallery/34104749#/d4b6z3d should be in.

Is Windsor to Detour as Arlington is to DC?

I'm not wrong, its just a difference of opinion, i do think is the same general area as we have done b4. Its the same ex Mexican desert!

Yes Vajan, you are wrong, it's not, "just difference in opinion", it's geographical fact that Texas is not apart of the Southwestern United States like Arizona, California, Nevada, etc. I've lived in this country all my life, and know well enough the difference in where which state falls under, and not under. There are various regions in the US, and Texas does not fall under the Southwestern Region. Texas is apart of the South Central United States.

If it's going to divert from the series location like Fallout 3 did, New York.

If not, certainly Arizona/New Mexico

This. Would love to see a DLC that takes a trek up to Maine as well. Would be interesting to see if the bobcats survived, and if so, how they changed if they changed at all. Though I have a feeling it would feel too similar to PL.

@Styles- Maybe vajan was talking about the location when Earth was in it's Pangea State? :P

Why do you call them vaults when they are in fact, bomb shelters, blast shelters or fallout shelters.

There's already been some say, on why New York wouldn't work. Mainly because it's too overused.

Styles said it bet, but no other location besides a location in America.

Look above.

No, above at my reply above yours. He meant New York, not Amsterdam in Europe. New Amsterdam is what New York once was called.

They're not small enough, to incorporate together with the way Bethesda does the maps. If it was the old Fallouts, then yes, but in today's Fallouts, it's likely just to be one State, and maybe just a sliver of another.

Hm, actually, and I think this is the first time, I dig your idea. Miskatonic would be awesome, I'd feel right at home.

Why do you call them vaults when they are in fact, bomb shelters, blast shelters or fallout shelters.

Because Vault-Tec, the company that built the 122 bomb shelters for the government, wanted to call them Vaults.

If the map is of similar size to the old ones it wouldn't even fit Rhode island accurately.

If they ignored Maine, I'm sure Rhode Island would be added accurately. Besides, Maine is like the quiet guy in the corner of a loud party nobody sees or hears, and is too socially inept to speak up properly.
