Official: Future Fallout Locations Suggestions Topic #14

Post » Fri May 04, 2012 8:33 am

He meant that Fallout Four is actually the Fifth Fallout Game, only it isn't;

-Fallout 1
-Fallout 2
-Tactics
-Fallout 3 (Actually the Fourth!)
-Fallout New Vegas
-Fallout 4 (Not announced but it'd be the Sixth!)

Good to see Bethesda/Obsidian use the GTA method of numbering games.

Fixed :fallout:

I personally think New York is a good idea for a Fallout location, but I can understand to some degree why people don't want that. I also don't think Bethesda will be able to make it as good as it should be and make the most of it, and maybe, it could be in a Fallout game after 4. I just don't think it is ready for doing New York just yet.

I think that L.A. should be Fallout next step because with L.A. you can have the Beverly Hills with torn down houses filled with raiders and the downtown and East Los Angleas area resembling the same concept from Fallout 3 D.C. area. And you could also have a large Park or two plus have the Dodgers stadium as an infested super mutant hide-out.

P.S. I'm kinda new to this fourm so can anyone lead me to where i can share my ideas for Fallout 4 such as the story, location, weapons, and characters I don't want to be the noob who posts a topic in the wronge spot or anything THANKS.

LA was already in the first Fallout, I doubt they would return to a location that was already in a previous game, and I personally wouldn't want them to do so any time soon.

Well Bethesda did make Fallout 3 pretty glitchy and and room for improvements but then again they just came out with Skyrim and the blew the damn roof off with that game by its story, its story-telling, and by it gameplay such as player movement, phyisics , and graphics.

well I've never played skyrim, but from everything I've been hearing, it was a disappointing game in the end.

True as this may be this could be 50 to a 100 yeras in the past or futre from that games time period, besides L.A. offers so much possibilties unlike other crowed cities, and come on a updated graphics and everything for L.A. would be awesome it would give and show players what they missed in those games cause of the technolgy. But yes i agree with you alittle bit too.

I got it on the computer and i can honestly say i can get lost in that game because of its stunning graphics, dialouge, and story. and by gamespot the user and the editor both gave it a 9 plus its the most played game by steam user with 12,000,000 people playing it and it having sold some 7-8 million copies make 650 million dollars i think it did pretty damn good hahaha.

It's a overused no guns [censored]hole that would be not only flattened but largely underwater.

well initally it looked good, but all I can say is that if my 16 year old cousin even got bored of it quick, then that says something. I keep hearing about how boring and shallow the game is.....and great dialog and story....everyone keeps saying how Bethesda svck at those things, so I find it hard to believe.

Well have you played skyrim to see for your self, i mean of course we all can go back and fourth but until you play it, and experince it hearing about it from others is kinda useless no offence, first time i was going to play fallout the gamestop clerk told me the game was really boring and dull but he was obvisouly wronge, but I am welcome to any's opion.

ok then how are their no guns i dont understand that their can be guns in d.c. and las vegas but not in New York and i feel like new york could be something fresh because its urban and that was my favorite part of fallout 3 i have to say and sure New York was flattened but Washington D.C. the center of our nations government was left intact ya makes tons of sense and sure in the real world it may have sunk into the sea but this is a video game kids and after 200 years all the radiation would be gone, people don't turn into zombies with radiation they actually die, the AK-47 isn't chinese its russian, and people don't put others in shelters to experiment on them so ya it isn't exactly completely realistic and global warming is left wing crap and nuclear winter would have refrozen the caps if it wasn't. I kinda thought you had a real reason but I was clearly mistaken and I would like to know how many others share this hate of New York and why if you have good reasons

The deb's said that they knew DC would be a hole, but decided it wouldn't be fun to play a game with that. So that is why DC is standing.

Anyways, if nukes didn't hit NY (they definitely would have, just making a point) the lack of maintaining the metro tunnels would destroy the city because they would fall in. I think that is too big of a thing to just forget about too of they made it standing.

New York City has a pretty strict stack of laws, that says those living in NYC can't easily get a firearm, even if it's a rifle or shotgun. Neither D.C. or Las Vegas, have the type of laws that NYC has.

Also, there are Chinese variants of the AK-47. They don't all come from Russia.

And the reason NYC would svck to have in Fallout, is because NYC is overdone in a lot of post-apocalyptic media. There are plenty of movies that have NYC as their set place in post-apocalyptia, and there are several games out there too that have NYC. I'm sure if you browse the past pages and threads of this, you'll find the topic of why people don't want NYC in Fallout.

To be fair the gun laws that New York has in our timeline might not exist in the Fallout timeline, depends on how far back the laws go. Also New York State got mixed in with other states to form the Eastern Commonwealth.

New York City would have flooded without the pumps keeping the water out of the subways and basemants. With a nuclear war completely messing things up, it would be mostly swamp or simply fell into the Ocean.

Then again to be fair Bethesda has proven they don't give a crap about making a realist wasteland. They should watch "Life After People" and then think about what that would be liked hunded a hundred times over.

Even if there were no guns in New York City, it would make a great place for slavers. All those gunless survivers.

you make a fair point wombat are you talking the metros caving in due to water damage or just due to age because i can quote F3 again haha but the water damage thing really is a good point. I just want a city enviroment and feel like New York is a city that would offer the most freedom but perhaps another may yet be found and I already thought of the paper empire and the empire wastes *sigh* damn back to square one it seems.

so i guess since i'm dealing in hopeless projects anyone care to see a fallout wichita kansas. I only ask because wichita is the air capitol of the world and would have nuclear bombers and all manner of other military aircraft as well as both of them being in the center of many nuclear missile silos and plus it would be completely original as no one else has done it before but i realize it may be a pretty lame idea just spitballin really

Neglect would do it, and it wouldn't happen to DC because DC only has 7 tunnels or something and small buildings because of the capital building. And new York is this http://www.pixopark.com/pic/maps/new_york_subway_map.png and lots of buildings.

Texas including Austin, Dallas, and Houston in a similar style to Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas where they use L.A, San Fran, and Vegas. Dallas would be large with big-oil mansions, Houston would be blue collar, industrial with the gulf, Austin is the capital and could include the hippie culture and/or the large University of TX including the famous tower. Lots of area in between including lots of cowboy themes, rodeos, and old school brothels. Could include Mexican influence.

Absolutely no New York. Sick of New York. Colorado could be good also with Denver and the Rockies. Cool to find a South Park easter egg.

How Bethesda does things, I doubt they would even attempt that. But they could do Dallas and Fort Worth since they are twin cities, that would be cool.

i just want to say your FO4 idea map is really similar to what i had in mind, only with some sort of NY influence by virtue of the fact that NY is only 2.5 hours away from philadelphia. Possibly having a short DLC into NY where a lot of it is underwater but some part of it such as long island remained above land and that is where the DLC takes place.

I'd also love to see a fallout take place in chicago if nobody wants to see new york. it's been referenced many times with the BoS presence and the west coast imo has been done enough for now. chicago would have that urban quality to it and we wouldn't have to worry about that pesky sealevel creeping up on us. St. Louis could even be done, even though i'm partial to philly/NY and chicago
