Official high quality video walkthrough from e.g. gamersyde.

watch the official video walk-through meticulously .

npcs using finishers on other npcs ?

when the player casts frenzy on the npc, and the npc kills the other npc guard who just exited the small tower, WATCH the following death animation closely.
its NOT a rag-doll effect. its a slow, gradual process. in order to spot this, you need to download a high quality version of the video, e.g. from Gamersyde.com
maybe this means npcs killing npcs will result in either :

a. different canned death animations different from the finishers of the player

b. the same set of weapon dependent finishers that the player uses.

examining the movements and reactions of dragons.

try to watch how the dragons react the (half) SECOND after the player uses the fire shout for the first time on the second dragon.
also when the player uses the storm call shout, the dragon almost reacts like it gets startled. i also like that the guards fighting the first dragon also
notice the second dragon and begins to fight it,even though it hovers way above them and havent attacked them yet.
all these minute details all over the place adds to the feeling of skyrim being so much more than merely the sum of its parts.

but seriously, you all owe it to yourselves to download the video in the BEST available quality. the total file should be around 3,5 gig.
like i said.go to gamersyde.com and get the true 720p video with no artifacts.

i hope im right about these observations

have a nice day fellow skyrim hopefuls :)

There's something in the Quakecon demo that wasn't seen in the released demo. Death animations. When the dragon killed a guard, he stumbled to the ground realistically.

Havent seen the vid but wouldnt finishing moves leave the actor open while he is performing them? NPCs doing that to others (including summons) would leave them open to a few seconds of free hits from the player (and other NPCs). I don't think I'd like seeing an NPC get pounded on because a finishing animation triggered while he was surrounded

Not surprised if they do.

The way I see it, if NPCs can do finishers on the PC, then they should be able to do the same to the NPCs.
