Needs more detective guild, as a counterpart to the Dark Brotherhood and similar factions. I want to work on the other side of the law, solving cold cases and fishing out provincial corruption and occult conspiracies in Skyrim.

THE COMBAT SYSTEM`````````````````````````````

Ok so no one can really say how the new games combat system will be. They might have all the things i am covering already but anyways....

I think one aspect of the game that we spend most time on and counts as a majority of gameplay and overall fun is combat. That being said, These are some things I would like to see in the new combat system. :bolt:

- Executions, Gore and battle damage ---- ( NO fallout gore, a more complicated and realisticly reactive system ) ---- A few executions for each weapon and more would become available as you progressed in that skill. Like the spear could be impalement, With a large warhammer you could smash their head or say you are a really strong warrior type you could hit them so hard they fly like 5 feet back and have a huge dent in their armor. I would also like to have the ability to say.. cleave of limbs or when you are really strong cleave someone in half!! I want my warrior to be able to cleave a ogre's leg off I mean when I smash a sword into an Argonians face i want to see it get jammed in there. Also magic should be included in this such as magical executions and damage ( fireball = scorch mark/pile of ash or charred corpse) If done correctly this system would be so much fun and would add to the variety which is key in replayability!! :toughninja:

A few side notes....

- Spears - They are the backbone of old world combat put um back give us a Hoplite build as well!! We also need Shield bash!! :ahhh:

- Beards - I need one.

- Medium armor - Make it happen.

- Horse combat - This really needs to happen Nothing worse than getting attacked and having to dismount. Not to mention so many possibilities for Epic win with this.

- Anything can be a weapon - now i am not saying a tea cup will do a lot of damage but... That needs to happen, I mean what is the world coming to when i can't hit some one over their virtual head with a bar stool?

- Extremely hard to acquire Extremely powerful epic weapons - They need to be really unique looking, elemental effects etc.

-Levitation, teleportation, sanctuary, slowfall, jump, lock.

-The climbing skill.

-Dungeons and houses with hand placed items instead of copy/paste from a list.

-Oodles of unique and useful items, oodles of new books, oodles of conversation topics.

-Hidden quests and repeatable random quests.

-Airborne enemies.

-The ability to fail a quest or take an alternative route or option.

You can fail several quests in oblivion

Whatever Bethesda does, I hope that they do not take away some optional style of play just because some people don't like it. Fast travel and 1st person viewpoint come to mind. Keep things like this in because if the opposition doesn't like these things, they simply do not have to use them. They shouldn't take them away from the people who do use them.

In Oblivion when NPC's are asked about rumours they will answer sometimes referring to Cities and individuals on the other side of the map. These regions are meant to be the size of large countries. I’m not sure about how bit each region is meant to be but I think that NPC's in Skyrim should be more locally orientated. News like the Emperors death will travel far, but since these distances need to be traversed by foot or horse less important news is unlikely to travel.

I think the feeling of tangible bigness will be important part of Skyrim, and NPC's, news, events and other things should usually be local. The idea of travelling to the other side of the map should almost be daunting, not just by the size of the map, but the perception of size by tricks like these.

Excellent point. I have played for over 350 hours across oblivion characters, consider myself "hardcoe" and I'd say 348 of those hours were played in 3rd person. I also am deterred from quests that, without fast travel, would be tedious. Quests starting in City A, going to City B and returning to A. I damn well better be able to travel back from B to A to turn in a quest and continue my game.

hope that.

because i′vgot another big request:

PLEASE KEEP THE FULL FACE EDITING LIKE OBLIVION.

because in Fallout new vegas i only can edit the position of the mouth, the eyes etc. but not the shape the kind of eyes, etc. i hate that. if elder scrolls V Skyrim is like that i won't buy it and mayble not just me, maybe a lot of people will be unpleased.

so please let us make our characters just like we want, not like fallouts sagas.

Here is another idea of mine.

I always found the roads in Oblivion boring. Like there almost never was activity along the roads.

What I would like to see if that there are stalls placed on the roads in the woods or near a village.

So you can buy and sell stuff with that person who owns that stall on the roads.

But the stalls also can be robbed by thieves or be attacked by monsters. But if you can kill the thieves/monsters and bring back the stall owner his stuff back you will get a reward.

The reward could be something like Gold and a free bed in the village. And the village people will call you a hero!

I also would like to see more emotion of people.

Like if I am dressed like a thief people in groups would whisper ''is that a thief?'' and the guards would chase you and try to kick you outside the city walls because they don't want creepy thief looking figures walking around in their town.

Also if I wear Daedric armor with scary looking helmet :3 people would ran away scared or say who the hell is that?

And if you talk with them they would be nervous or scared.

I just want NPC's to actually walk somewhere for a purpose.... Have you ever followed NPC? They end up staring at the wall or stopping in the middle of the road just to turn around and go back to siting in their chair or standing behind a counter.

I want to see NPCs fishing, running and playing, shopping, buying stuff from other NPCs, holding garage sales (haha) ANYTHING!!

First, I must admit I havn't read through this thread properly, so excuse me if my points have been taken up several times.

Anyway, here is my list:

- Character Creation. I'm really a fan of the character creation in TES: Oblivion, there is a lot to choose and customize and so on.
BUT, I really don't think you should be able to make your character look [censored] (lol).
I mean, if you try to add a beard to your character, the whole skin color changes, which is very strange IMO.

- Good/Evil. You should be able to play as evil. I know you just can think, "I'm going evil mode!" And then kill everyone you see, but I mean there should be
options in every dialogue to match your style of roleplay.

- Gore. In my opinion, the game should be rated as "18+ Mature", and then much more violence and gore should be added.

- Population. A populated arena. I'm tired of fighting in a almost empty arena in Oblivion.

- Battles/Wars. Add some big battles? If there is a "main" city or "capital" in Skyrim, there should be an huge number of monsters attacking it, and you should be able to help and defend.

- Random events. I know there already are a few, but a lot more. Red dead redemption is a good example here.
Maybe if you're walking alone on the road, a few bandits attack you from the side. Not just one standing alone in the middle of the road.

- Better walking. Faster, and proper walk mode. It's a RPG, you should be able to walk, without looking like you are walking on a catwalk (walk...walk...walk).
It's pretty weird really that you are running around everywhere, so the walking should be faster. The running mode should of course still exist.

- Be able to work. If you want to be a craftsman, you can open up your own store, hire people to work for you etc.

- Horse combat. You should definetly be able to use a bow or a sword while riding.

- Be able to climb. Of course you should be able to climb up a wall and break a window if you are a thief!

- Spears. You should be able to throw spears and fight with them.

- Cooking. If I want to play as an survivalist, I would like to go into the forest, kill a deer, take it's meat, and then cook it over a fire.

- Camp. As I mention above, if you are a survivalist and are in the forest, you should be able to set up a camp, so wild animals wont get to you.
Because it's weird if you "wait". I mean, standing still in the middle of the night for hours? No..just no.

- Body changes. You should gain more muscles after a few months if you are a hard worker/fighter etc.
You should also look "slim" if you are a thief or a acrobat.

- Sailing. Build your own boat, buy yourself a boat or pay someone to sail you to a different place in Skyrim.

- Grabbing. As we all know, you can grab stuff and hold them in the air. This should be improved.
I think you should be able to throw the thing your holding on another, and then he runs to you and asks why you did it (dialogue),
or if you are at a bar and the "victim" is drunk, then he may just start trying to kill you immedietely.

- Grabbing 2. If you kill someone, you should be able to drag his/her corpse away, and hide it, maybe throw it in the water.

- Guards. If you are Wanted in one of the cities, then the other cities shouldn't know what you've done.

- Laws. I think the different cities should have different laws, and you would be able to buy the "lawbook" to read the specific laws for that city.

- More diseases. If you for example are fighting rats in the sewers, you would be able to get the disease Black Death.
If you get it, you must search for help within a few months, else you die. (Diseases are extremely rare!)

- Sick. If you have been to a cold area for long without any warm clothes, you can get a cold and fever. This means you do less damage when you fight,
and maybe you sometimes do cough.

- Flying mounts.Mounts like Griffons, Giant birds, Dragons and other flying mounts should exist in the game.

- Dungeons. Where you first gets warned that it is a dungeon, and in there, there is loads of hard creatures to kill.
And in the end of the dungeon, there should be a Boss. You will of course gain superior loot from the dungeons. (Depends on the difficulty).

- Crafting. Buy your own house or build it with materials you've bought or harvested. Example with Stone you have mined, wood you have chopped etc.

- Escaping the law.You should be able to escape prison, even without a lockpick. Maybe you pay the guard money you've hidden,
or maybe you strangle him to death, and then you take the keys. Then you can also live as an outlaw.

I just want NPC's to actually walk somewhere for a purpose.... Have you ever followed NPC? They end up staring at the wall or stopping in the middle of the road just to turn around and go back to siting in their chair or standing behind a counter.

What I would like to see is weapon enchants looking better like lightning having little sparks all around your weapon or fire around it dual wielding for sure and some kind of wall climbing that is not limited to only special areas but everywhere.

A bit like the system in FO:NV
If you wear the armor from clan A, they like you , but their rivals will attack you on sight.
Or in Fable where people would judge you based on clothing. If you had an Assassin's Coat, people would be more afraid of you, but if you wore prietst robes, people would like you more.

I want Mark and Recall. And this time I want TWO marks.

Why not more?
Start off with a spell with one, then you have to buy a second slot. And when you cast recall, there is a menu that you choose which one (and you can write your own description, incase you have two in the same area). And then you can buy a third, which will cost a lot and/or require a high skill level.

- You should be able to play as evil. I know you just can think, "I'm going evil mode!" And then kill everyone you see, but I mean there should be
options in every dialogue to match your style of roleplay.

Reminds me a bit of fable, where you have a Good/Evil meter, where if you do good deeds, people will like you more than in you do bad things (like FO karma).

More I was thinking about this, more I realized that maybe our suggestions are pointless at this time. I mean, the game is coming out in 11 months. They have been working on this game since '06. What possibly could they fit in at this point of the game.

yeaah im agree whit you, maybe only little changes will be posibles like "realistic dificulty optional", "no fast travel optional" or things like that but not those things like "i want that my character can fly in a dragon" are to dificults at this point

Replace the karma system with the old school D&D moral compass - the Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic, Good/Neutral/Evil chart. People would react differently to you depending on your alignement. You could determine what alignement you start with through a questionnaire at the beginning of the game. Y'know, getting back to the basics of RPGs. I think that could be neat.
