Official mods for Fallout 4?

Post » Wed Dec 02, 2015 1:04 am

When the Creation Kit was finally released for Skyrim on the Steam Workshop, they celebrated it by releasing a free "Official Mod" they made with Valve, http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=7375. I just realized that there was never a Volume Two of that mod, unless putting Vol. 1 in the title was a gag or they actually want to release Vol. 2 when the Steam Workshop goes live for Fallout 4.

But regardless of what happens with the space core, do you think they'll do similar official mods again for Fallout 4? One for when mods go live for the Steam Workshop, another when mods go live for the XB1, and one more for when they're opened up for Sony. I don't expect them to be anything more serious than the Space Core, but that would actually be pretty neat. What kind of silly, non-canon crossovers could they do for each console?

Alternatively, how pissed would you be if Bethesda did release any silly official mods like that? I know these forums too well.

As long as the Dragonborn hands us the space core and we have to send it back to space (or MIT)

Hey I wouldn't mind, it's kinda unrealistic IMO that none of the Fallouts had rideable horses (especially given that there are operational trains in Fallout:NV and at least one operational car in Fallout 2).

Horses and cats were hunted to extinction. Personally hoping the institute is into cloning. I want both back, one for riding and one for killing.

Yeah people would have eaten them :sadvaultboy:

Maybe we could get a quest to track down the fabled Horned Kangaroo, trap and domesticate them. We could ride in their pouches :touched:

I wonder if the Fallout universe uses the same justification as Morrowind for not having any horses - "Horses.... Oh, M'Aiq loves horses! Especially with good cream sauce."

At any rate, I'm talking about silly crossover content they might do to celebrate getting mods on each platform. Fall of the Space Core, Vol. 2, some whacky Halo thing, I dunno. Any serious content, I think they'll leave in free patches or ordinary expansions.

A chromed Duraframe Eyebot with pinstriped flames that plays Ride of the Valkyries and Sousa Marches.
