For crying out loud that's still a very long time !

On the other hand , by then I've finished my internship which means I can enjoy the game at its fullest !

Oh and screw NA why do they always get games before Europe :'(

Seriously, why do they get most things earlier? Don't tell me that it's because of shipping, because then they could just wait three days longer.

There are plenty of things that aren't released first in America, and are released first in other countries.
Bethesda is an American Based company, and lots of times for American Companies it means it comes out first in the US, then comes out in other countries a day or two later. Games like Pokemon and such are usually released in Japan, then everywhere else a few days later.

Also, the final box art was revealed today also. It doesn't look much different from the placeholder we've seen for months. You can see it here (click on the pics) - http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=258120&postcount=1

Later in the thread, he posts this - http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=258192&postcount=36

Pokemon is more than a few days later...much more.

The new black and white games release in Japan in september. They don't release in the US until March. Half a year difference.

Oh well, I'm fine with May. That just means I have enough time to prepare myself for commentaries.

Seriously, why do they get most things earlier? Don't tell me that it's because of shipping, because then they could just wait three days longer.

Shipping.

:P

I rather don't like it. But that might be because I just like The Anger not so much in general. It will probably support the box-sales.

Would've been more awesome if they had several box-arts, tho. (At least one Security-archetype-based as well.)

Now the bad thing about May is, that they will not release much info in the next few weeks, I guess.

"Never play on patch day."

In Europe the release-day can become a massive lag-fest, when everyone and their mother are rushing in for the weekend.
The US rather won't have such a problem, eh?

I'm actually rather happy it's release date is facing the backend of May. Game releases the day AFTER my last final for the semester, so I'll be able to focus until then :D Cheers.

Splash Damage has done enough balancing for me.
I see you more of the Duke Nukem Forever type, DKF is coming out in May like Brink, what a long 11 years of development.

I think it will be just fine. It's already been pushed back almost a year from it's original purported release date. They've had more than enough time to get it right, and what I've seen of it, it seems like they've done/ are doing just that.

From what Ive experienced with releases, its really hard to say what can go wrong.
Call of Duty: Black OPS - is buggy, lol. And the lag kills.
Team Fortress 2 - I don't like it now after the customs, too many of them. But smooth release from what I remember.
Guild Wars: Nightfall - Semi-perfect release, but some people had a bug that wouldn't let them past a certain town close to the end, and it didn't get fixed for a week.

Ah Guild Wars, a fine game before it died. If only Guild Wars 2 would get a release date.

Meh, after my account got locked due to it getting hacked, and me not being able to get it back because the account was an old friend of mine's, I lost interest in it.
But yes, lots of good times had.
