Hey guys this might just be really dumb of me to ask but...

The two trademarks. (one fore games etc. and one for manuals merchandise etc)
The game merchandise expires this july, Would it be possible for Beth to make for instance a real short flash game, so that they use the trademark before it expires and still get more time to develop and thus not announce it yet?

I was just wondering this the other day, might be really dumb of me to ask, but i dont really know the trademark law that good.

Well, I don't know much about trademarks as well, but from what I gathered on these forums I think that the one that's expiring in July is the one for Merchandise and the like. So even if it were a possibility to show proof of use by quickly making a flash-game (again: I don't know this) it wouldn't be proof of use for the first trademark, without adding any form of merchandise and so on. Therefor, I don't think it would be of much of a valuable strategy to make a flashgame

I find that to be a ridiculous and very strange option. Definately not the method Beth's been using until now. Furthermore, there's nothing really preventing Beth from developing the game for as long as they want after announcing it. It's just that taking too long may not be a productive thing to do for a company.
