Official TES V Speculation Thread Number 27

Post » Sat Jul 10, 2010 1:19 pm

There is NO OFFICIAL information about a new TES game release.

This thread is for member speculation of when and if TES V will be released. This is where you post any new information about when it might be released, tidbits from interviews which mention it and such.

It is also where you post your theories of when you think it might come out based on guesses, number crunching, rumors or such.

This is about speculating on the next TES game and when -- or if -- it is going to be released. It is not a place for discussion of what is going to be in it, what type of graphics there will be, or any other subject of that type; they belong in the http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1065099. If those kind of posts get raised they will be deleted and the poster warned for going off topic.

Please note that this thread is not a personal chat box and that one liners and posts of little substance will be considered as spam and thus the poster will be subject to warnings and suspensions.

No scans of copy righted material are allowed in this thread. All other forum rules apply. You agreed to them, so please read them.

Every MMO iv played have absolutely no story. You just apear in the game world out of thin air, and do endless "go for" quests or power level your chracter for no other reason than its the only other thing to do.

Um, Guild Wars? Completely story driven MMO, where each campaign or "expansion" had a complete story path where every mission (plot driven quests) was instanced....The max level was 20 and it took about 4 hours too reach it, rest was about story.

Gear didn't matter as well....

And the best part is that it was free monthly.

Ahem... Gentlemen, his thread is not for MMO discussion. We already had quite a run of it in the last thread, so let's please discontinue the discussion here and move it to over here: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1085332-official-tes-multiplayer-thread/page__view__findpost__p__15818677. Ah, yes sorry. My bad.

Anyhow, so how about that trademark? And let's not forget the Aldudugga. While only one gives even the most vague of timeframes, they both point to the Great White North.

Yes, it seems MK tends to write about what is about to come up, just as he wrote a ton on Morhaus (or however you spell it) before KotN.

Yes, indeed it is. Hopefully there's something suggestive in that statement.

Although any word from Bethesda regarding TES makes my mouth water, I read the only note on this page and it is a disclaimer stating:

"This page is not an official Bethesda Softworks page. It has been created and is maintained by individual person not connected with Bethesda Softworks in any way other than love and respect which that same person grows towards Bethesda Softworks"

... thus it is about at hefty as my own sentiments regarding TES V, solid but ultimately meaningless :)

I have a hunch on why they haven't announced TESV yet.

Could it be they are working on a new engine for it to run on and they haven't actually started developing the game itself yet?

Its probably just be wishful thinking on my part because a new engine would be awesome to the max

Argh, I can remember how excited I was for Oblivion...Morrowind was so epic, (and bethesda), I just wanted it so bad lol... I have the same feeling for TES V >.
And with the engine optimization, and the time they have spent on it, what do you guys reckon it would be like know? What par would it be upto, graphics, sound and physics wise?

Honestly I dont know. What Im exppecting is no shadows, bad AI, only 3 voice actors, and it wll crash alot, be very processor intessive and have no visiblity culling, so realy Im not expecting much more than Oblivion.

But Im hoping TESV will have none of those things.

Yes, it is. And that is VERY exciting.
I think that's the first time in a long time I've heard them take an official standpoint on the issue.

You just commented on that facebook page, and since I vaguely remembered what you look like from when you posted a picture in the picture thread here, I assumed that person using your picture was you.

Lolwut? I'm saying that I assumed this Chris Holland fellow was you, because he was using the same picture you posted in the picture thread here. I don't think you made the Bethesda page if that's what you were thinking.
