Every time Beth filed to renew the trademark they had to show proof that it was being used to the office. For the trademark to become 'set in stone', so to speak, it has to be used publicly. Of course, I imagine that could just be a closed showing to the media of a single screenshot that is then reported on to the public. I don't think it has to be a gameplay video, and i'm sure it doesn't have to be a playable demo. E3 is right around the corner, less than 2 months away, and then the REAL wait begins.

I think what was meant is that Zenimax Online could trademark another name (other than Skyrim) under the name of an obscure "company" they own, thus keeping the identity somewhat more hidden. My response to that is: Why bother with all the paperwork and fees applying for and renewing a trademark if you're not planning to use it?

They are either rattling our cage to build a bit of hype or they just like to see us squirm – and after this long of a wait, with virtually no actual information provided by Bethesda, I’m not too sure which explanation is more probable.

A simple flash game would not work with the specific trademark that is about to expire because that one is for merchandise and game instruction booklets. It would work for an interactive media trademark though, since there have been flash games with trademarks.

LOL at da people sayin it gonna be in skyrim, dat place is jus a popsicle, der aint nutin but ice, y would dey set it der LOL? Aneeway 5 is gunna has dragons dat you can rid on cus dragins is soo cool, also der be guns and it will be called TIS 5: Modern Warfare in Yokuda.
