Really? If I was a betting man that's where my money would be. Since Pete said that now that Bethesda and ID are partners they are looking to broaden the show's appeal, I have to scratch my head trying to think of a better way to broaden it's appeal than announce a couple of weeks prior to the event that TES:V will be unveiled at the show with a first-glimpse trailer. Couple that with Doom 4 for the original loyal crowd, and not only are QuakeCon fans happy with a game aimed at them, but press are all over the event for two huge game reveals. Suddenly QuakeCon is on every serious gamer's map.
Since the event is supported by a plethora of volunteers and besides FPS based peripheral companies and professional gamer appearances already slated for the event, you would really need more than a couple of weeks to alter where that is headed. I think Zenimax is looking at changing Quakecon, which makes sense, a lot of sense if you consider their recently created Zenimax Online Studios. Incorporating Id FPS and MMO, Brink and Rage, and you have a dynamically tailored event for the communal competitive gamer completely redefined according to Pete's vision of expansion.
I wouldn't think adding a single player RPG to this makes any sense in the fan/volunteer supported and FPS peripheral funded event.
It can and will evolve to include those portions of Zenimax that make sense for what it is meant to be, not shift 180 degrees so that single-player RPG gamers can play a demo, one by one, in a line, at a booth.
