Official TES V Speculation Thread #35

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 6:29 am

Well what games besides TESV would be worthy of fantasy nerds crapping themselves for?

I'm excited!

And with all the big name titles sure to be announced at E3, what other game could be big enough to overshadow all that and demand a cover story?

Also, is all this furor just over E3 and sudden'y "OMG The Games is SUUUURE to be announced because blah blah blah?"

I don't quite understand what you're trying to say, but ever since I posted this link, it's pretty much refuted an ESV showing at E3, because this gives a MAJOR hint that the next GI is ESV and the tweet says that the GI is not an E3 game.

I don't get his post either. There's something about Dragon Age's story in there too.

Doesn't GI usually release the cover art of their next issue on their website some time before the issue is actually released? About when will that be?

Do they? I haven't seen them do that before.

I actually think that a GI reveal is better than a E3 reveal for Bethesda. Some people who liked Oblivion might not be that into games. Maybe someone likes the setting and is interested in the backstory, but really isn't that into games. They'll go to their local bookstore and see a GI with the next TES on the cover. Also people can read a magazine in public, so others will see it.

Oh, well then maybe I'm wrong.. For some reason I thought they did. The last GI I bought was before Oblivion was released so shows what I know about them :P

If Bethesda had already made a deal for an exclusive gameinformer article, that might add another reason Beth isn't announcing TESV at E3.

In any case, if it is TESV it will almost certainly be announced at the official site (www.elderscrolls.com) before the magazine is out.

Why do we want them offline?

Because we're all participating in mischievous activities..

On topic: A game worth putting on the cover of Game Informer, will not be at E3, part of a series that will make fantasy fans crap themselves, the trademark deadline.. it all sounds so perfect..

Knowing Bethesda, probably not. They're good with this stuff. I think it will be the GI article though. Well, now I lost hope in E3.

Not sure if this is new or anything, but TESIII, TESIV and Fallout 3 are all on special sale right now on Steam. Probably just to drum up sales for F:NV... but still

I thought Awakenings was just an expansion pack?

Are you tired or something? I said that it was an expansion in my post. Awakening is an expansion.

Anyways, yes, GI DOES reveal their cover before the issue is printed. If I recall, they do it at the first week or so of every month, in which they reveal the NEXT months issue cover.

I feel that for a special occasion they might change that tradition.

Oh, sorry. In the flurry of excitement, I meant to say "since Dragon Age came out" not "since Dragon Age 2 came out".

So, I've done some looking up on Dragon Age II, and it's apparently supposed to be released early next year? Then there may be a chance the next GI issue is Dragon Age II, but still...

I was all :blush2:

You've raised my hopes and then dashed them quite expertly... good show.
