Official TES V Speculation Thread #35

Post » Fri Dec 31, 2010 1:22 am

Anyways, yes, GI DOES reveal their cover before the issue is printed. If I recall, they do it at the first week or so of every month, in which they reveal the NEXT months issue cover.

So are you saying that since this cover that will make fantasy fans crap themselves is the cover of next month's issue, the cover should be released online within a few days?

Oh, sorry. In the flurry of excitement, I meant to say "since Dragon Age came out" not "since Dragon Age 2 came out".

So, I've done some looking up on Dragon Age II, and it's apparently supposed to be released early next year? Then there may be a chance the next GI issue is Dragon Age II, but still...

Dragon Age II? That isn't making me crap myself. That can't be it. Break out the skooma, hand out Surillae Brothers wine, cheese for everyone, and a brain pie for dessert!

You've raised my hopes and then dashed them quite expertly... good show.

Well, it's something I have to throw out there, because somebody has to say it sometime. Regardless, I still think GI will be ESV.

Was DA featured in any GameInformer?

the tweet makes it sound like a new game, as opposed to one we know about. i'd say the announcement for a totally new game 4 years in the making beats out the announcement of a game we already knew existed whose prequel came out last year (?)

Yeah, that makes sense. If the GI would be Dragon Age II, I doubt the tweet would have had anything to do with crapping.

Yeah as Seti mentioned, I really can't see a DA2 announcement being capable of "making fantasy nuts crap there pants". Such a recent game with even more recent expansion... just not enough hype built up for that like TESV has.

Thank you Stain.

I found that link because I was mindlessly googling information on "Bethesda secret E3" and "Famitsu Elder Scrolls V", going 28 pages looking at all the blogs that were posting about it, because I was getting so desperate. :P Then I go to Gametrailers, and type in the search, "Elder Scrolls" and I found that thread.

Bethesda has said they want to try to make Quake Con into a sort of big gaming expo of their own (their meaning Zenimax), so it is a possibility.

However, if GI is where we'll see TES V first, then an announcement will most likely appear on this website first, as with Oblivion.

If this pants-crapping GI article is truly ES:V, I highly doubt we'll get an official announcement until after E3. Announcing it before would likely overshadow the games they're publishing.

maybe the wording was strategic and it means "(Final) fantasy nerds"

Naw, a Final Fantasy sequel is going to be at E3.

Besides, don't you think a Final Fantasy sequel would first show up in a Japanese magazine?

I don't know for sure, but didn't Adam (or whatever the GI chief's name is" say it was a sequel? Wouldn't ESV be called anything bigger than a threequel? Maybe he just wanted to keep it simple..

Well, anything after anything else is a sequel right? That counts in ESV.

I can't help but feel its perfectly timed. The July trademark deadline, E3 happening BEFORE this reveal (which would let Bethesda show all their published games without overshadowing them with an announcement), and being about 4 years after Oblivion. It all fits so well.

Let's hope its actually not a false alarm.

Oh yeah, and lets get this baby to 500!

What is this I'm feeling?

Could it be...?

Yes! It is!

Hype!!

Hopefully it's TESV. BUT EVERYONE SHOULD KEEP IN MIND that whatever Zenimax Online is working on is due for an announcement as well.

If it's not TESV, I would thrilled for it to be Dragon Age 2. (Although I'm about 500% sure it's being revealed at E3.)

Ya all the mods are asleep. I saw earlier that someone posted and said that it must be ESV being announced because the mods were letting us go. Haha, I guess some people dont understand that they have no special connections with Bethesda.
