I noticed that there's a part in GI that says Beth obtained id and the rights to the game RAGE

Yep. Zenimax aquired id quite a long while ago.

If Bethesda was smart they would announce it at E3. They could show a demo to select members of the press ( similar to oblivion) and release a few screens. This way they could hype up quake con big time. Gstaff's recent comment means absolutly nothing, if anything it shows us that TES V is more likely to be announced at E3. The best way to surprise people is to flat out deny speculation just before showing what you have.

But they said they don't want to because it will get drowned out by all the other games being shown. I wish your possibility would happen :(

No, that's a lie! It has to be!
I think a TESV announcement would be pretty big.

Many new games are announced at E3, I don't believe that beth should be worried about being drowned out when their past three games have each sold millions of copies and they are a highly renowned developer. Again they would never say anything to hint at the announcement only deny it. I could be completely wrong but it does make sense and we have seen stranger things happen.

I really think we're in for a chance of an announcement. Of course, i could be wrong.

Does anyone know when E3 actually starts?

And they do have that second much smaller room... Maybe if ESV really is being announced at E3, they'll show gameplay behind-closed-doors there for some press folks.

Unless that room is being used to show some footage of some other game Bethesda has at E3, like Hunted: The Demon's Forge? But I thought that Bethesda was going to be revealing gameplay to the public for all the announced games they're having at E3.

E3 officially starts tuesday, but microsoft is holding it's press conference on monday night. There is a strong possibility TES V will be announced then if it is going to be at E3. If I were the president of Bethesda I would announce it at E3 for the reasons I have stated in my previous two posts but I am not the president and they might do something completely different.

Announcing it at Micro$oft's press conference is the only way to make both Pete and Gstaff truth-tellers... as technically this isn't an E3 announcement... it's pre-E3.

There you go, they found a loophole! Now they can announce it there without being liars. ;)

Fudzilla has also reported that Bethesda has a secret announcement at E3, but they don't cite or mention Famitsu at all. They just mention their "sources". I'm not sure how reliable Fudzilla is anyway.

Yeah. But if it doesn't happen... Hey, ESV will probably be announced in July anyway.

This is like christmas. You peek in your parents closet and see an xbox controller and you told santa you wanted an xbox but your mom still tries to tell you santa isn't bringing you one, the controller is for your cousin. You go to bed with a bad feeling in your stomach only to be ecstatic when you open the xbox in the morning.

Not really, I'm just very excited and I am getting my hopes up. I don't usually post but I'm just so damn excited for E3.

He's free to cry with me. Anyone else want to cry with me in case there really is no surprise at E3? We could start a cry club! :D

I'll say that there deserves to be a slight uptick in possibility of an announcement at E3, given the state of their trademark application, but I would not allow for any expectation that something will actually occur.

Does anyone remember the scan of the Advance reviewers copy of The Infernal City that went around? The one that had details about TES V. I hate to bring it up again but that is some pretty damning evidence that it is at the very least being worked on.

This would be great if TES V was announced during E3. I would love to have it by Christmas if possible!

Also...Fallout, DOOM and all the other bethesda games svck compared to TES, and "skyrim" should not have to wait to be released because of other crappy games.
