Official TES V Speculation Thread #35

Post » Thu Dec 30, 2010 12:15 am

There is NO OFFICIAL information about a new TES game release.

This thread is for member speculation of when and if TES V will be released. This is where you post any new information about when it might be released, tidbits from interviews which mention it and such.

It is also where you post your theories of when you think it might come out based on guesses, number crunching, rumors or such.

This is about speculating on the next TES game and when -- or if -- it is going to be released. It is not a place for discussion of what is going to be in it, what type of graphics there will be, or any other subject of that type; they belong in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1090035-tes-v-ideas-and-suggestions-164/. Everybody, give up on the elder scrolls and enjoy the rich flow of games and new information that the fallout series brings. Let the dream die... friends.

Forget Fallout, The Elder Scrolls will always always be better than Fallout. Especially Bethesda's "Fallout". How about instead of changing the Fallout series with Elder Scrolls gameplay, you just make Elder Scrolls games with Elder Scrolls gameplay?

The key words in the question is IF.

IF Bethesda does unviel TES V at E3, would they do it under PS3? Microsoft? Which company you think would get the premier? Would they go independent?

There is no IF. Gstaff gave us a strict statement. They won't unveiled anything, no surprises.

They wouldn't do it under microsoft unless it was to be a launch title for the next xbox, I would think.

Is this the same Gstaff that that directly told us they would never release Daggerfall for free? It is. He lies sometimes.

Jeez guys, calm down with arguing over which series is better than the other. I personally loved Fallout 3, much more than Morrowind or Oblivion. That doesn't mean I didn't like them though, because I did, a lot. And I'm still dying for TES V. Both series are great, but TES fans have been waiting for more than 4 years for a new TES game while we Fallout fans are getting a new Fallout game in a few months. We seriously need a new TES game already.

If TES V isn't at E3, don't get discouraged because hope isn't lost until the first trademark expires http://i48.tinypic.com/2jezm7n.jpg Nobody should be getting discouraged over not seeing TES V until that happens.

Are you mad? Let TES die?! Phsst. The Fallout Games aren't on the level of TES. "Friends."....

This is just stupid.

Come on, no surprises means... no surprises.

I would be little dissapointed by Bethesda and their policy that allowed to lie their elder scrolls fanbase

You must not know Bethesda very well, they have lied before and there's no reason for them not to do it again. That does not mean that Gstaff is lying in this instance, however Bethesda's official word can always change, and has changed. You can feel free to be disappointed.

Not necessarily lie, but might dash hopes so it's more of a surprise. Remember the whole "The data files for Daggerfall were deleted during an office cleaning. We couldn't released Daggerfall for free even if we wanted to" thing? Yeah, no one was expecting it so when Daggerfall was released for free, everyone was mega surprised. So yeah, similar things have happened before, no need to be rude about it.

Okay, but there are some limits. I don't see any advantages with teasing the fanbase like that. No one will try to promote product using a negative actions like lie, misunderstanding etc.

I think the message about E3 is clear - no surprises. This statement don't have any hidden agenda in it.

I believe that sth. will happen on Quakecon.

Gstaff says quite clearly there will be no surprise.

Excuse me while I proceed to push the Adoring Fan off of Dive Rock to let my anger out and head back to Bruma to pretend I'm in Skyrim while drunk and dancing, with a bottle of fine Nordic alchohol in my hand, in front of the Chapel of Talos, naked, as people tell me I look just like my statue.

I had to show off my muscles when I kicked Daedra back into the gate screaming "This... is... SKYRIM!!!!!!!"

[...]there's no surprise title coming for E3.

This quote clearly implies that we shouldn't be surprised when ESV is revealed on E3. Wordplay for the win. :sadvaultboy:

Geez...talk about a frenzy. There's probably not going to be anything announced at E3. However, as others have mentioned, Bethesda is notorious for flatly denying things that are true. Oblivion was denied shortly before it was announced. If lying to me means giving me a nice dump-in-my-shorts kinda of surprise then bring on the lies! :hubbahubba:

Apparently there are 24 unanounced games to be shown at E3.

http://www.lazygamer.co.za/e3-2010/were-going-to-e3-read-all-about-it/

now if just one of those.......

Also check this out:
"...But more importantly we have also been invited to see 24 yet to be released games behind closed doors, these things are so secret that I can’t even hint at what games we are seeing but I can say I am stupidly excited about 7 of them and am looking forward to virtually all the others."

PS: actually just seen it says unreleased, not unanounced but still the thing about being really secretive caught my attention lol.

you know guys, this is exactly why bethesda usually says nothing at all. even when Gstaff says that there is no secret announcement, ya'll don't believe him.

It's because we're desperate, trying to cling on to every last bit of hope that we have. :P

Probably already stated before, but the main page of UESP says there might be an announcement at E3. Probably just a rumor though, can't really trust a website like that.
