The new era of scouring the net for new bits of information on features/ gameplay is almost upon us. Oh this is such a long road.

I still call July 6th! :celebration:
...oh man, now I'm even bringing out the celebratory smileys. Better not let me down, Mr Bethesda.

This is also the day that the new DLC for DA is coming out. But if TES V is announced on the same day who cares? I may even have to reinstall Oblivion after 2 years.

I think that some people overestimate the chances for a DA II so soon. As you can probably tell from my avatar I like the game but I think that it is far too early for a sequel and I will be happy if we don't hear anything about it for quite some time because that will prove that the EA effect which is to release a rushed and mediocre game every single year has not affected Bioware who are one of my favorite developers.

I also hope for the announcement of TES V early in July.

I agree. I think Dragon age and TES are tied for my favorite game series, but I just don't think DAII is likely. It's too soon, as is ME3.

Well im lookin at like this for the cover of GI. The 4 games i think could be the cover of Gi in August:

Dragon Age 2 - Released in November 2009, which is only 7 months ago. The Awakening DLC was released 3 months ago. Combine this with the fact Bioware wants to make multiple expansions for DA:O it just seems to soon for a full blown sequel. the only way to me it seems is if they just built the new game in the existing engine without changing a piece of it. Correct me if im wrong but that doesnt seem likely in a new game.

Last Guadian - Was predicted to be at E3 by GI. Since i believe the GI quote was from before E3, and the quote says not at E3, and they predicted that Last Guardian would be there adds up to it not making sense of it being on the GI cover. Could happen but wouldnt make sense

Diablo 3 - Havent heard much or seen any info on it so i cant say no it wont be GI, but i have a feeliong it wont be Diablo 3

TES:V - Lots of information points to a TESV announcement. GI quote states theyre cover art was from a game not at E3, which TESV was not. Bethesda's Skyrim trademark expires at the end of July. gamesas has to show they are using the trademark or they risk losing the rights to it. Bethesda is also sponsoring this years quakecon event. All their games they showed at E3 got good attention so why sponsor an event to show off more? Something they havent shown us would make sense. TES:V seems the most likely to me.

I beleive it 10% chance DA2, 10% chance Last Guardian, 20% chance Diablo 3, 60% chance TES:V

Most of my info comes from posts in this thread.
just my 2 cents

But the Last Guardian isn't really a sequel, is it?

So therefore its eliminated since the GI dude said big sequel not at E3 (can't find the link to the tweet right now...).

One thing we aren't considering is the possibility of a as of yet unknown sequel. There are plenty of fantasy games out there, any one of them could secretly be getting a sequel without us knowing about it.

What's your theory on the piece of paper dated Feb. 2011 in the Awakenings box then? I'd like to agree with you, but I'm afraid I'm expecting rushed and mediocre. :(

Dungeon Keeper 3

I think I'd almost forgive them if that were it.

(sighs)two worlds is the most overated game ever so it is not suprising. p.s I know because my brother bought it(we both wish he didn't though)I looked at the back at it said that it was oblivion on steroids and we all know that is a lie.

That was at E3, and it might not be as bad as we all are expecting. Nothing like a pleasant surprise.

if its either the sequel to "dragons age" or "2 worlds" then I gonna be very gutted. These games were very dull in comparison to Oblivion.

Dragon Age was more lively IMO, It had a soul, unlike Oblivion, where all the good was ripped from it more "action", oooo.

My theory is that this date will be the release of the 2nd expansion and it is based on the following points:

It is far too early for a full blown sequel especially when we are talking about an rpg epic.

Awakening was advertised as the 1st expansion which means that there is probably going to be a 2nd one.

Bioware stated that they will be supporting the game with DLC and expansions for two years after release.

Throwing a piece of paper with a date on it in an expansion pack is a very unusual way to announce a sequel.

Could be ...

Personally, I loved my first playthrough of DA, but it doesn't seem to have worn well. Still haven't played RtO or Awakening, even though I bought both.

TES V, please!

Wish that I knew the exact day they will be releasing the August cover of GI. I'd start a countdown.

I concur. Although I love Bioware games I am biased to free form gameplay so the kind of games that Bethesda make are closer to what I like the most.

Regardless of the exact date that GI release their August cover Bethesda will first have to announce TES V on their website before GI or anybody else can publish any information. So don't expect to hear any news for the first time from GI.

Beth could release their TESV announcement mere hours before the GI cover announcement, so if someone isn't paying attention all the time, they could hear news from GI first.

Yeah, I'd think they would do it extremely close to the GI reveal. I forget how long it was with Oblivion; Anyone remember?
