For God's sake. Obviously I'm not talking about them re making Morrowind.
I'm just talking about the features it had, the depth, atmosphere, etc.

As long as theres no crapp dice roll combat system

Guys, I really think we should:

A. Stop spamming this topic with posts that are only a few sentences long and don't add anything at all to what we're supposed to be doing, i.e. speculating on TES V.
B. Stop arguing over Oblivion and Morrowind.
C. Stop suggesting things, we have another thread for that.
D. Stop making posts saying "ZOMG GSTAFF OR DEVELOPER #125 IS HERE OMG ANNOUNCEMENT COMING!"

Sorry if I'm acting like a mini-mod here but honestly the whole reason these threads are filling up quickly is because everyone is spamming and posting about off-topic things. You guys do realize that the moderators have locked Speculation threads before for going far off topic like this, and they can certainly do it again? In fact, a dozen or so threads ago this thread had it's name changed from "TES V Speculation" to "http://http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1072977-official-when-and-if-we-will-get-tesv/," because people seemed to not be able to comprehend the difference between speculation and suggestions, like what's going on now. Do you guys want them to change the name again and make us look like idiots who need further clarification on what we're supposed to be doing here?

Honestly, guys, it's time to get back on topic already.

I wholeheartedly agree with xXAntibodyXx.
I speculate that it'll be announced soon. Probably on the next issue of GI. If not, Quakecon.

So does anyone actually know when GI unveils their covers? Is it at a random day early in the month, or do they make a standard of it being the first day, or the fifth day, or what? I only ask this because July 1st is tomorrow and I want to know if I need to keep an eye open.

And staying on-topic: I like pie.

July 5-12.

I hope everyone makes an effort to remember that date for themselves so they can answer this question when people ask it in the future. Because I've personally typed out "July 5-12" in these threads at least 20 times by now. :P

Does this mean that you can tell us a little secret at last?

Anyway, I feel like waiting it out is pretty much all we can do at this point. The GameInformer cover will be shown in 2-10 days most likely so whatever. I, for one, hope it is announced on the 2nd, because that's my birthday :)

I wasn't into TES until a little while before Oblivion's release, and I didn't pay much heed to the Fallout 3 hype machine at all.

When Bethesda typically announces a game (as in the announcement/unveiling prior to the Game Informer/magazine reveal), do they announce it with a short CGI teaser trailer? IIRC Fallout: New Vegas was unveiled with a teaser trailer and not much else (discounting the fact it was pseudo-announced way before), and then the cover stories surfaced (PC Gamer, etc.) that had the game on their cover with more details and screenshots inside.

Slight question , does GI have to reveal their cover at a certain time every month before an issue . Because I like surprises and seeing TESV on my GI without warning would make me scream like a girl.

not it's a short weekly video xbox puts out that answers common questions from the XBL community. I've noticed that almost every week at least 3 or 4 times now they have mentioned TESV the aren't confirming anything but they continue to bring it up.

For those eagerly awaiting an announcement and who will be intermittently away from accessing the internet, I suggest subscribing to the Bethblog twitter account and having the tweets sent to your cell phone. I have some long work hours over the next several days, so it may just be the only way that I find out if an announcement is made. Just a suggestion!

I think its a random day early in the month. I don't think they have a set date. And I, for one, also like pie. What do you guys think of pie?

There isn't a "set date," but it's far from random. Looking back on what dates they've announced their covers back to September 2009, they have a very obvious pattern, that being no earlier than the 5th and almost always no later than the 12th. They rarely wait for after the twelfth but even then it's only for a few days later. A few months back they were announcing the covers on Mondays, but lately they've been doing it on Fridays. So no, it isn't a random date.

Unless someone from Bethesda wants to swoop in and prove me wrong, I think this right here is our confirmation that something is happening. A simple acknowledgment that they are indeed watching and reading these threads. They know that we're almost absolutely convinced that something's happening soon and they don't dissuade us in any way. Why would they let so many dedicated fans be so disappointed unless they weren't actually going to be disappointed?

Something's TES-related is definitely stirring. I'm excited.

I don't know about confirmation, but you do make a persuasive point. I expect them do what they need to keep the forum from boiling over at any given moment, and with excitement building and them not stepping in it does make one wonder. Of course, perhaps their frequent presence here is precisely for that reason: keep things from boiling over.

If that's what they intended to do, they seem to have failed miserably. The tactic has had a significantly opposite effect - have you seen all of the "OMG ADMINS IN THREAD" posts?

I think the admins would have said something if this upcoming cover wasn't TES V like they did for the E3 speculation. We're getting a TES V announcement with this next issue.
