Official TES V Speculation Thread # 45

Is it the July issue of GI or August? Because the July cover is Infamous 2....and I wouldn't consider that fantasy.

I doubt that would really make fantasy fans crap themselves. I found the first one to be quite meh, but perhaps others feel different.

What about Mechwarrior 2? as I recall there was no Mechwarrior 1. It was called Battletech.

GI would be overselling themselves if Jade Empire 2 was the 'massive sequel'. First one was ok, sold resonably well (around 400,000 copies in the first 2 weeks... from what I can gather from a quick google search) but nothing to suggest that it would be classed as a massive sequel.

Sci-fi isn't it? Also I saw recent coverage on a new Mech game on Eurogamer. Doubt it's that :)

I hope he wasn't overselling that tweet.

If some of you would actually read a few threads back you'd very quickly realize ALL OF THIS has already been discussed and decided.

You can argue your case for the definition of 'sequel' all you want, but all of it is pointless when you must consider the fact the that author of the tweet may have made a complete wreck of its proper use.

As for the guys talking in the video blog thing (or whatever it is), I honestly believe they're just spouting off on the irony that since they're part of the press people assume that they must therefore know about TES:V - which is exactly what you've all been burning up posts over.

Did we discount Guild Wars 2 for some reason? They are even selling a 128 page hard cover book of their art, and just watching the trailer and screenshots almost made me crap myself... I think the only thing with that one is that it might have been at E3, but I couldn't find anything...

EDIT: Well I guess it wasn't at E3 http://www.destructoid.com/guild-wars-2-skipping-e3-playable-at-gamescom-and-pax-175330.phtml

For the sake of the TESV announcement, I hope not also! It wasn't even a game I was excited for, but after watching the trailer, it does look amazing. So I guess there could be worse things :)

Note that Bethesda Game Studios is NOT working on Fallout: New Vegas, Rage, Brink, or Hunted: The Demon's Forge -- Nor do they develop MMOs.

Andy McNamara from Game Informer tweeted about the August Game Informer issue: "Got the cover art in today for the next issue. Giant sequel not at E3, and the art...well, fantasy nuts are gonna crap themselves". GI reveals their covers generally between the 5th and 12th of the month.

Is this okay? Basically just an edited version of StyltStryder's post.

Also, Sylt, we've already been told it's not GW2 by the makers themselves: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1101692-official-tes-v-speculation-thread-44/page__view__findpost__p__16110756
