Official TES V Speculation Thread # 46

Post » Sun Apr 10, 2011 12:38 am

yeah lol the entire magazine comes out about 3 week early that way you can read up about your favorite games before they are released the next month, its also why GI gets more exclusives because they can releaase things so much sooner

What are you talking about? The month listed on the cover of the magazine (August) is almost always a month ahead of the month it actually comes out (July). This is the case for nearly all magazines in existence, GI isn't releasing anything early.

There are soooooooooo many reasons why this won't happen, but I'll just say that they've probably been working on TESV since before Kinect and PS move were announced, and I doubt they would completely rework the game, and therefore delay it, to use limited and gimmicky technology.

In a few days this forum is going to be uncontrollable either because of happiness or disappointment. Its going to be nuts. Hopefully happiness because if the cover isn't V then I'm not sure where these forums go from here it'll be a lot of dark days ahead with no sign of something positive the negativity will be so overwhelming man it could get pretty ugly soon...or not!

Hopefully members of this forum will take either result as an opportunity to demonstrate their maturity, rather than run rampant like entitled children.

You know, I think the majority of us have had our hopes for an announcement crushed and we survived with enough civility to basically just move on and speculate some more over the next obscure relative tid-bit of half-related information that we twisted just enough to be "something". I suspect we still have enough of these to sustain us through the end of August :)

According to Kris from GI's customer service desk:

We do not have any information on the August 2010 cover yet.

They're not going to say what it is before the official cover release happens, even if they do actually know already.

Well, natch. They're not going to let the phone-answering-people blow their reveals.

If they don't announce it within the next week, I am gonna be sooo pissed. :(

I feel a lot of people would lose the interest of the Elder Scrolls V ever happening (Including) and just move on. Sadly.

People say that, but as soon as it announced and they see the first beautiful screenshots, they'll be back on board lol.

It's fan-made, and was given the green light to be available to the public by the owners of the King's Quest IP. I doubt a fan-made game like this will be on the GI cover.

I'll call your bluff. Sure you'll be disappointed, but you'll soon get over it once it is announced.

Though I'm confident we're but weeks (if not days) away from the announcement, there's still the real possibility we were grossly incorrect. If this comes to fruition, once the blackness of disappointment gives way to the light of hope, we'll soon be on our way again; fitting the pieces together to cast a plausible image of when TES:V is unveiled.

Ha! No, I hadn't heard of that. I meant the one that was cancelled before it was announced back in the early 2000's because it was badly made. If someone gave that a reboot, it likely wouldn't have a lot of fans after this long.

Surely it couldn't be mass effect 3 or dragon age 2 right? Right?

I'd say so. It's been less than a year since both of them have been released.

If it isn't TES V, then it had better be Legend of Dragoon 2. The first one was a fun ass game.

Well good thing Mass Effect is Sci Fy.

Not sure why it couldn't be DA2. EA really likes seeing Bioware pump out those games.
