Skyrim has trademarks for "clothing" and "publications, such as manuals and guides", as well as two applications covering "video games".
The most recent application is a broader video game trademark filed June 17th, as I recall. Note that Oblivion also had two trademark applications covering "video games" concurrently. The broader of the two is the one that was kept alive, but Zenimax also used one for what amounts to "written material about a video game", which is one of the original three Skyrim applications, and does NOT have a new filing currently.

I doubt that it's KH3. Tetsuya Nomura stated in the KH: Birth by Sleep preview in the July issue of Game Informer that KH3 isn't in development right now, and I would be surprised if that was a lie, since he's got Birth by Sleep and FF Versus XIII on his docket right now. As for a new Dragon Quest game, I would expect IX to hit American shores before an American-based magazine to reveal its sequel.

I'm fairly confident that the August issue is a new TES game due to the factors mentioned before, though it could just as easily be a new entry in an older franchise like Baldur's Gate or Neverwinter Nights. (which, honestly, I'd be just as excited about).

I think that was in response to when he would find out what was on the cover... so not in my book. Though it does give you some insight as to when the cover would be revealed... and if that is true, we have another week to wait

I'd think the 6th is "most likely" for the cover reveal: unless you absolutely have to work the 5th, or are opportunistic (think automotive company facility maintainence crews), you'll take that extra day off.

Lord of the Rings Conquest 2?

Most likely not. It was made by Pandemic (the makers of Battlefront), who, as I said earlier, is gone. Unless other companies pick up the franchises, Battlefront 3, LotR:Conquest 2, Mercenaries 3 and The Saboteur 2 are not happening (makes me sad though, I loved Pandemic).

I think the only thing that can be done will be to wait it out. Nothing will probably happen tomorrow, since most of us have the day off. Also, I doubt anything will be announced this week, unless Bethesda makes an announcement and tells us to look for a GI feature (which would be awesome). But next week seems to be where things will start up (or crash and burn, depending on what is announced).

Out of curiosity, why are you trying so hard to be such a downer? Because I think I speak for everyone when I say those kinds of posts aren't welcome here. You aren't "being realistic," you're just trying disturbingly hard to either anger everyone or make people depressed. We have a lot of things fueling our speculation right now, more than we've had in a long while, so we aren't running on "false hope." We're running on hope due to many factors, including the expiring trademarks and that tweet. Far from "false hope."
