Hi Jeff.

As you probably are well aware of, is that there is a buzz on the internet about your next cover on your magazine. Especially in the forum at elderscrolls.com people are arguing if that buzz is The Elder Scrolls 5.
Could you please give us a hint of which game is it? Please!
Is it TES V? Or is it other game?

Best regards

He did the Neverwinter Nights soundtrack too. And Baldur's Gate, I think. He gets around, so there's little point in tracking him.

He might be doing Guild Wars 2. He did work on Nightfall and a couple other Guild Wars expansions, I believe.

Of course it's another game. TESV is another game.

Sorry, but that e-mail is bogus. No way they would hype this whole cover up to the point that they did, just to let customer service tell any yahoo who asks them whether it's a certain game or not, I cry bull puckies. That being said, it may very well not be TES5, probably isn't actually, just by the law of averages, but c'mon.

These types of posts will get the topic locked.

Anyway, back to speculation: The GI Customer service guy might not know what the cover is. He might have been told to deny everything. He might have been plain lying. We don't know. Just wait until it's announced, m'kay?

That could be it, he's lying, they probably told him do not tell anyone, and if they guess it then tell them it's wrong.

I guess.

Cust serv would not lie. Let's be realistic. I could see him doing word though. Its just another game.

Why would he lie? Not everyone is so crazy hyped about TES5 and secrecy around it. He probably don't care.

Why wouldn't they lie? If they were told to deny everything, then some lying would probably be involved.

Just my two cents on the customer service guy's response.

not that I want to fan the fires of this rampant over-speculation, but that particular person referenced in that email is not customer service. He appears to be Graphic Designer.

But honestly people, you should all dial it down several notches.

I find it suspicious that paint is open in the link with the GI mail. Just saying. Maybe it has to do with me being Swedish and not trusting Norwegians though. :)

You forgot to close paint...

I believe the GI cover will be TESV, there is so much proof it will be that I find it hard to deny. If it's not TES then oh well, I will just continue to wait.

Hey C'mon... I'm afraid some people in this forum will not believe even if they see Dragon Age 2 on the cover. " No wait...This must be a fake magazine pressed by Bethesda... "

A graphic designer would probably know more about the cover than some guy in customer service. After all, we/they are the ones that basically put the magazine together. Obviously Game informer doesn't have one designer to put the magazine together, but in a magazine designing team, the master file usually exists on a FTP server so that each designer can go in and make their revisions.

I'm sorry I dont believe that GI would respond to a random email and tell them wether or not its TESV before a cover announcement on there website. No offence to the guy who posted this but If we all emailed him with different theories of cover stories what do you think his reply would be?? the exact same. :foodndrink:

Let's leave the people behind GI alone. We'll find out soon enough, and there's no point in pestering them, is there? It isn't likely that we'll get a concrete answer.

Yeah, and paint is open. I fell for it. I'm an idiot. So even w/o this, I'm still worried that we might not be looking at TES V tomorrow or friday

I thought that "another game" ment a game in general, which is a clever way to not confirming nor disapproving the rumour...?

I have an idea. Why doesn't someone email Jeff Averick that picture of the email to ask if it's legit?

I'll go ahead and do that.

Whether the GI employee is lying or not about the cover not being TESV, you guys do know that he has Paint open to save the screenshot, right?

You copy-paste the screenshot you just made with printscreen into paint and save it as .jpg. Sheesh.

edit: didn't mean to be off-topic, but I thought this made sense? :?
