Am I the only one that read this and thinks there's actually nothing in process right now?
(emphasis by me)
The last time Bethesda released something was the Fallout 3 GOTY edition back in October 2009. It's almost August 2010 now, and they seem to have all of their employees still. I find it hard to believe they've been paying their employees for close to a year to do nothing but watch Hulu all day. You could say Fallout 4 is their main focus instead of TES V, but... we already have another Fallout game coming from Obsidian. Obsidian is basically doing Bethesda's work for them. Why wouldn't they use that time to their advantage and make TES V?
Personally, Todd's comments made it seem as if he was apologizing to the fanbase for taking so long, not saying that nothing is in the works.
"There will definitely be – and I'm glad everybody’s patient with us – gaps and sometimes bigger gaps between the titles. We hope it's worth the payoff. Thanks for your patience and bear with us. Hopefully it will be worth the wait."
That sounds like him saying "I'm sorry it's taking so long but it will be really awesome in the end," not "Sorry but we haven't even started working on it yet, maybe in a decade or so k guys?"
