It's going to look like http://mycryengine.com/images/gallery/Dynamic%20Volumetric%20Light%20Beams%20and%20Light%20Shaft%20Effects.jpg.

Also they're going to send me a collectors edition a month early... and it'll be for the Playstation OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAND!!!

Finally it may very well take place in some sort of fantasy setting.

I agree and on top of that and in my opinion, I think all the game developers would be given the heads up ahead of time of nexgen consoles before they're revealed to the public.

TES V will be inevitable.. why?

same reason they are making a hobbit movie.

think about it.

Um...

...nope, still don't get it. Sorry, I'm really dense. Though I'm going to guess you're implying the fact that the LotR movies were Peter Jackson's most successful projects. However, FO3 was Bethesda's most popular product, so it's not a perfect comparison.

That's what we've been thinking about for years.

Why is that? I've been away from this thread since the day dragon age 2 was announced as the latest gi cover. Nothing new since then? Why so confident about an announcement not happening?

I take back about agreeing. I miss read it. For some reason I looked at it as if he said "It will be". My bad. I really do hope they make an announcement. If betrayer of humanity is right then he's right. Guess we'll see when QuakeCon starts. Until then Im keeping a possitive attitude.

Well, I'll be on vacation during QuakeCon without a computer. So I guess I'll know whether or not it was announced when I get back. I think at least one throwaway hint will be dropped at minimum.

LOTR were extremely succesful so they are making a hobbit movie.

Oblivion won tonnes of awards so its likely they will follow it up. basic business logic.

plus the demand is there.. 157 odd threads of TESV ideas.. WE WANT ANOTHER ES GAME!

IF Bethesda wants to make money, THEN they are making another TES game.

Breaking News: Bethesda has announced that they will not be making a sequel to the best selling western RPG of all time.

They would definitely be foolish not to make another Elder Scrolls game.

I highly doubt Bethesda will do anything at quake con. They're more likely to show off something at gamescom which is happening in germany all of next week, I believe. But still, the chances are looking pretty barren.

Holy crap, I forgot about Gamescom. On the one hand, Bethesda has never announced anything at Gamescom (and by never, I mean in the event's one year history), but on the other hand we know that the Germans are batty for some TES. I think an announcement there is about as likely as one at Quakecon, but who knows

Except Pete Hines said Quakecon is a better place to announce something (than E3) so 'if'' TESV is going to be announced in 2010 I think next week is your best bet. If it isn't announced I'd say all-bets-are-off and it will roll to next year sometime.

Pete Hines was probably speaking as a publisher. As you know Bethesda is likely to publish doom 4 as they did with doom 2 Xbox live arcade version.

Perhaps. But BGS also has several panel members at Quakecon. I suspect 'something' might said about BGS's current project.

I doubt they would ever pick Gamescon over Quakecon just due to the fact that Quakecon is now a Bethesda-owned event, as well as being a US event, where Bethesda is based.

Why on Earth would they pick Gamescon to announce TES:V...?
While we're at it (at it being throwing out ridiculous statements that make no sense based on absolutely nothing) I just saw Pete Hines naked! He was announcing TES:25 at Dragoncon.

I don't know if this has been said yet, but in the Making of Fallout 3 dvd Todd talks about how he'd like to alternate between doing TES and Fallout. So that might be a little more proof they're doing TES and not Fallout.
