Todd likes outside pressure apparently. We need to step our game up.

"working on something for two years, but we can't show it yet"

Did he say that? I must have been drifting off...

Yeah he did, he said his team are excited to show it, but they don't know when yet

Wait I thought he said he had the option of putting something TES, after Morrowind, that would take 2 years but instead worked on oblivion instead.

Yes, they could have used the same game engine to make another Elder Scrolls game and it would have only taken two years.

I heard Todd say that, but not that Bethesda Studios have been working on a game for two years.

He said both of those things. He said they asked about making a follow up to Morrowind , but he told them he was going to take 4 years and make something for systems that weren't out yet. He also said they were 2 years into a project and were excited about it but couldn't talk about it yet.

Right....

Look at New Vegas, or perhaps Fallout 3(released two years after Oblivion). New Vegas uses Fallout 3's engine and many of its meshes/textures and Fallout 3's engine was basically a slightly updated version of Oblivion's engine. Oblivion had a completely different engine than Morrowind and Morrowind had a completely different engine than Daggerfall, however. The connection between Morrowind and Oblivion's engine is that Morrowind's was a predecessor to Gamebryo.

Todd: "Would it be a V?"

Talking about sequel numbers....

V.

He was referring to Tim's explanation of Quake's sequels... But sheesh.

They spent most of 2009 working on a game engine and Todd keeps referring to TES V as the next game(we all know it's TES V, Todd, so say it already). That is all.

He said, "most of 2009" correct? That means, not all of 2009 meaning they probably finished up major changes with the engine towards the end of 2009.

Todd: I've got a great idea! Let's piss off the fans who have been waiting for half a decade by not making TES V!

He didn't refer to it once. But yes, They did engine re-working (possibly using the help of id) for much of 2009. Looks like its gonna be a while till we see anything come out of bethesda game studios.

Please requote me from my post where I said anything about Bethesda never making another TES game.
Oh wait, I didn't. Get the stick out of your ass.
I said you don't know that they aren't working on it right now, or that was even what they were talking about. They make more games than TES champ.

Really not seeing this one guys, but it should nonetheless provide some more little tidbit morsels of information regarding their next game.
