Official TES V Speculation Thread # 59

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 10:15 am

There is NO OFFICIAL information about a new TES game release.

This thread is for member speculation of when and if TES V will be released. This is where you post any new information about when it might be released, tidbits from interviews which mention it and such.

It is also where you post your theories of when you think it might come out based on guesses, number crunching, rumors or such.

This is about speculating on the next TES game and when -- or if -- it is going to be released. It is not a place for discussion of what is going to be in it, what type of graphics there will be, or any other subject of that type; they belong in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1105916-tes-v-ideas-and-suggestions-172/. If those kind of posts get raised they will be deleted and the poster warned for going off topic.

Note that Bethesda Game Studios is NOT working on Fallout: New Vegas, Rage, Brink, or Hunted: The Demon's Forge -- Nor do they develop MMOs.

Is Todd going to be in a Quakecon event that may be future game-related?

They don't record them?

I wanted to watch it, too.

Oh, yeah I don't think they streamed it. Shame.

Anyone else think that Respawn Entertainment's project is going to use id Tech 5, since the original Call of Duty and probably CoD2 used id Tech 3? In order for that to happen, Respawn's project is going to need to be published by Bethesda in order to use id Tech 5. I think it's pretty feasible, even though Respawn is under EA.

From Bethblog,
, Arkane developed Dark Messiah of Might and Magic (PC version), and has collaborated on a number of high profile game projects, including Bioshock 2. Arkane is currently working on an unannounced project with Bethesda Softworks.

Could this be TES?

Doesn't seem like they're showing anything from the Cortez ballroom, just the Grand Ballroom.

No Jaden, Bethesda Softworks is not Bethesda Game Studios.

People including me got confused over that when G4 said, "Arkane Studios is working on a game with Bethesda". What they forgot to throw in there was "Softworks"...

I read on a site somewhere that it will most likely be a first-person role-playing game. Just like what BGS is making. Anyway, it should be interesting to compare the games between the two development studios.

But of course, there really is no concrete info on what Arkane is making, so it could be anything...

I didn't want to bring it up because its kind of drawing conclusions, but if you listen carefull during the panel, Todd talks about the future project and stops himself from saying its a first person RPG single player by quickly stopping...and referring to Oblivion.

I'm not sure where it is. But I heard it for sure. Someone who cares about this might wanna take a second look.

Never really understood why they would make Hunted, when they could make The Elder Scrolls V:TBA, or at least The Elder Scrolls Adventures like the old spin offs. Although i will probably try the new games coming out.

Do you have a general idea of where it was? Like, what topic they were on? I recorded about 95% of it.

Bethesda Game Studios is not making Hunted, but Bethesda Softworks is publishing it. They're two different companies within Zenimax Media.

I must have deleted the TES V entry right as you posted. Feel free to agree with me that it doesn't belong by posting on the discussion page.

Doesn't ZeniMax have a trademark titled "Deathmark"? Maybe that is the title Arkane Studios is working on.

I haven't been keeping up with things lately though so perhaps I am wrong.

So they really have been only working on it for two years, eh?

Ugh... my hopes for it being announced before the end of 2010 are pretty slim atm.
