And btw, how do you muliquote? I just tried and it didn't load anything

You can multiquote by pressing "multiquote" on somebody's post. Then press it again on somebody else's post then click "Reply".

My guess is, when Fallout: New Vegas is out, we'll already know about TESV.

At least i'm pretty sure. They might not even announce it this year.
Somewhere between October-January?

I speculate soon means when Gameinformer/beth agrees best to a cover, there must be a small line of games companies before its TESV turn.

The book will effect the story! It will change the lore and available factions. Trust me, the book will have noticeable effects on Skyrim "in game".

Yes but Bethesda already knows the story, and has already made the story for the next game around it. What he was saying that the book's actual release doesn't effect when they'll announce the game.

Ah, well he did not quite clarify that AND that part was already said. I understand my quote was unnecessary.

Actually he might be wrong though. Bethesda might want to wait until the book is done to announce the game. Lets not forget how long it takes to publish and distribute. I am not going to state reasons because everyone else has already given my opinion.

I am really excited about the fact that they say it looks like it is on a new console. That sounds amazing, considering that Bethesda doesn't overhype their games.

Haha!

...

AHAHAHAHA!

Nope, it was just a liitle quote, with three unrelated ones on the side of a page, with the title "Things We Learned".

Who said this quote?

What he means is that the book isn't being written by Bethesda, the game will be finished at the same rate. How is that depressing?

Actually Bethesda IS writing the book and Greg Keyes is developing TESV all by himself.

No sheogorath wrote the plays shakespere mimed them and Barrack Obama voiced it from behind a giant statue of a cliffracer.(ends sarcasm/)

Ah. I was under the impression that it was a quote from someone in the game industry that GI put into their magazine.

If anyone is keeping an eagles eye on Gamescon for a TESV announcement or anything related to what Bethesda is working on, you're gonna get bored.

I can't speak for everyone here, but I for one haven't ever considered Gamescon even a remote possibility... I knew it wouldn't be announced at Quakecon either but for different reasons.

I didn't expect them to announce it at Gamescom because they don't ever do announcements at game conventions. Like I've said many times, Bethesda will announce it on their own time, not at a gaming convention. They may show the game off at one but we'll already know about the announcement before they do.

This is the main reason behind my thinking as well, but with Quakecon you have the FPS event that I have followed long enough to know it wouldn't be the place to announce TES anyway (until they make it more Zeni and less id). For Gamescom it is about the last place Bethesda would announce the great western rpg chapter, and this newly enacted conference barely has enough press for people to even know it is around. PAX is another conference that is mildly more featured than Gamescom but even less of an event due to the split nature of the events... but it does all boil down to what Antibody has said above.

I think that Bethesda will announce TES V when they have the perfect time to do so. Not when they have a big German event with lots of people around.

Precisely. I do grow weary of the misguided excitement surrounding gaming conventions. However, while we may not anticipate these conventions for an announcement, we can look forward to the interviews and subsequent flecks of information - such as Eurogamer's excellent interview from Quakecon.

I personally look forward to a game informer announcement. I think it would be a lot cooler than a QC or GC or E3 or PAX announcement. After its announced in GI, my copy of GI will be my most prised possession... until I get TES 5.

It its announced at a convention then people have no awesomeness to hold in their hands!

Based on past events, I'm still expecting a Game Informer-related announcement.

Remember when they were showing oblivions radiant AI and that lady torched her dog and it went off yelping? I cant remember what else happened but the AI in game did not turn out anything as complicated as was seen in that demo. Now they done their tech up i wonder how good its going to be? But just thinking about that im not going to go wet my pants over something i see in a demo just incase in the real game it doesnt have that. Let down. For now we know theres more actor animation... But the sound of their tech up... wow... maybe they might fool me twice?
