Bethesda recently gave many hints regarding TES V. They stated that one of their secret projects is in its final stages, that they have most of the game to show off but are just waiting for the go ahead. Tod Howard also stated that from announcement to release will be the shortest of any Bethesda game every released. Oblivion was announced in 2004 and released in 2006.
Now, Ive been playing a large variation of MMOs for nearly a decade now and there is generally a certain trend with announcement and release. When it comes to releasing MMO's the developers have a few things to consider, community and Beta. Community make MMO's, WOW's newest expansion has been in beta for 3+ months and has been announced for more then a year. The up and coming KOTOR MMO has been announced for I think two years now and has still to have a beta, which will no redoubtably be out for months.
New MMO's need lots of press, they need to let everyone around the world that this game is coming out. I don't see how TESV will be an MMO when they plan to release it very soon after announcement and are close to completion.
That said. They have two games under raps that have yet to be announced. One could quite possibly be an elder-scrolls MMO but I do not foresee it coming out any time soon. New title MMO's generally take more then 2 years to create.
I would read Octobers edition of EGM's magazine, link @ bottom:
"Finally, Fallout and Elder Scrolls fans will love this month’s EGM Interview with Bethesda’s Todd Howard. Get to know the creator of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and Fallout 3, the inner processes of Bethesda, and some hints about the future!"

If I was to guess I would say we will see an announcement before the new year and possibly a release early - min 2011.
