It will be called Elder Scrolls V, oddly enough.

I base this on nothing, except a strong feeling I have after having recently becoming psychic. I even predicted I would write this, which amazed my entire family.

Yes, yes it has, and multiple times in fact. And if we keep posting off-topic stuff such as the last 5 posts above me, and mine I suppose, I'm sure the mods wont hesitate to lock this again. It's difficult to stay on topic when there is nothing to talk about in regards to the topic, so lets just not post.

Personally i think the next Elder Scrolls will be released in 2011, as Bethesda (or more specifically, Todd Howard,) recently stated that the roundabout for their next game after annoucment will be "the shortest yet."

I think that the game will be announced by next Feburary, and released by this time next year.

I'm way too optimistic about Todd's "shortest wait between announcement and release" statement. Since we've had what seems to be an incredibly long wait, I'll say we're playing the game by next summer. Wouldn't it be cool to have some kind of teaser in FONV? Probably won't happen since it's Obsidians baby, but I can dream.

I don't think it will be released any earlier than Fall 2011, personally. But that all depends on when it's announced.

I'm very confident that it is. I don't think they're going to make any new IPs for a while, and are just going to work on TES and Fallout for a few years. After Fallout 4 is released, if they have a big enough team, I can picture them starting work on a new IP, but for now I think they feel TES and Fallout are enough.

No, that's being developed by Obsidian, and being published by Bethesda. Plus their other big project is only in pre-production right now. Bethesda hasn't actually made a game since Fallout 3.

I don't know, Bethesda has got a pretty large ES fanbase, and a lot of them don't visit the forums.

The mods are simply trying to prevent this thread from going off-topic, something that happens far, far, far too often in this series of threads. The mods not chilling and letting us go off topic is one of the things that separates this forum from most others on the internet and is part of what makes it pleasant to be in.

First they would announce it on their website, then the GI cover would be revealed later.
