Bethesda shouldn't have any problems getting the trademark for the name because they used the name Skyrim in Oblivion and they could say that the name is copyright for that game and that their next game will be either using the Name Skyrim or its going to be in Skyrim.

That's not how trademarking works, at all. They have to make a game NAMED Skyrim. Using it IN a game doesn't count, at least not for this particular application.

dear Todd,
i have sent in past to my dear Bethesda ,emails and posts on the forum, that where not as lovely as they should have been (or deserving)! i want to say now that it was only to rouse to admit of TES 5, and show my anticipation for the next TES,nothing more!!! i have logged in over 2500 hours in TES 4 now.something i am very proud of!!
i own 6 copies of oblivion and 6 of fallout 3(all purchased new) because i want to support my favorite studio and keep them running smooth(i want to fight the good fight).because their is so much junk and so many junk studios out there that want to make a so so game and go home with some monies.
when i hear of a new game or the rumblings of one.the fist question i ask is ,who made it? and the second question i ask is,there is no second question.
i buy games based ONLY on who made them.it does not matter the the type of game. i have played many games where i despise the property but love the game(KOTOR).that is a testiment to that studios greatness!
valve,bioware,red storm,bungie,ken levine,lionhead,epic,id,black isle(rip),squaresoft(rip),digital extremes,ion storm(rip) and Q games to name most!
and i will let you hazard a guess where Bethesda falls in that list,it falls at the very top!!!!!

If we assume that the rumors are true, if the "Dragon Lord" and so, then there are really only two possible references.

1) The "Dragon Lord" refers to Akatosh, Dragon King, and Emperors ("Dragon Blood"). Not quite unlikely if there is a "direct sequel" to oblivion. Is difficult to see, however, exactly how it would be designed, when Martin was the last Septima.

2) The "Dragon Lord" refers to a reference in the book Mysterious Akavir:
Ka Po 'Tun is the "Tiger-Dragon's Empire". The cat-folk here ARE ruled by the divine Tosh Raka, the Tiger-Dragon. They Are Now a very great empire, Stronger Than Tsaesci (though note at sea). Here one can imagine that the Ka Po 'Tun has managed to defeat the vampire snakes and now is about to invade Tamriel? Given that the Empire is no emperor with great problems, particularly in western provinces, even after the Games of The War of Bend'r-Makha, it would surely be vital to the Blades must stop the invasion before it reaches the Empire. Which would then give two possible moves by sites: Akavir and Morrowind (mainland Telvanni isf, then Akavir east of Morrowind).

Very interesting. Assuming the theories on locations are correct, could it be possible that the Dragon Lord has reached Morrowind, and is now pushing into the heart of the Empire? If the game is set in Skyrim, then we have two reasons to fight against the Dragon Lord from there:

1) To save the crumbling Empire, no doubt with political gain in mind for both Skyrim and the player, by attacking Morrowind from the north while Cyrodiil holds the central border.
2) The Dunmer now live in Skyrim, and would certainly be interested in waging war against the Dragon Lord, if only to reclaim their homeland.

Hmm I'm not sure about werewolves but I bet there will be vampires. There were vampires in every TES (not sure about Arena), but there were definitely vampires in TES2,3 and 4. TES V wouldn't be an TES without vampires.
And I hope that there are going to be more vampire races again like in Morrowind with Clans and so on, that would be so awesome...

I don't think anything is wrong with the orginal races but I like to be able to pick something diffrent everynow n than.....How would haven a werewolf race ruin the fun?I think it would add to it since you have to have strategy and pretty much watch about when the full moon or night cycle would happen (if it does it that way) I started a werewolf character right off the bat when I got to level 16 *it was at easy difficulty of course but still was super hard to get to that point) anyways I did this and am atleast half way thru the story mode with my werewolf character, I am also not using the ring so i turn ever time at night, its been super hard to do but i love it, shows that it IS durable and hasn't ruined the fun for my RPing

Werewolves in TES are normal people afflicted with lycanthropy. Making a werewolf 'race' would go against all the lore that I am aware of.

Besides, it's much cooler to integrate it into the game itself with its own storyline.

True, I guess I was just trying to get across that I want them in TESV and how imho it would be a good idea to add them in, I mean you have ALOT of mythical creatures already in TES games so why not add in werewolves?

I agree here. While I certainly would not receive a VGA announcement with disappointment, a January announcement and GI reveal seems the most promising of the two.
