I've been away for a while. Anything noteworthy happen in the past couple of weeks?

Rumors that have blown out of proportion, no interviews, the same elusive people at gamesas...the usual stuff.

MikeDZines (Or however you spell his username) made that Twitter account.

And no, he is not trying to fool people. IIRC, he made that for TES V speculation and the hopes that Bethesda would try to get it off him thus furthering speculation.

You are kidding me?... I just spent the last 15 minutes translating the daedric writing on that twitter. It was a [censored] too cause it's backwards... I had to use a mirror!

For those who are interested so my effort did not go to waste entirely it reads:

"Fire from the waters of oblivion for lord dagon forever reborn in blood" Then it starts to repeat it self.

I think.

Damn it. I guess I should have continued on reading through the thread before I did that.

Being in the graphic arts myself, this doesnt look as professional as an actual title. it definately looks homemade, and you can expect much better from a hired graphic artist fo rthe new ES5 Game. just saying man

Mikedzines made a few TES V Twitters hoping Bethesda would ask him for one of them, iirc. That could be one of his, but I don't think it's official.

Yeah, that basically sums it up.
As for the poorly rendered background, I did it on my daily 25 minute commute on the train to Toronto. I had no internet, so the images I had contained resolutions that were inconsistent, and I had no mouse, just a sketchy synaptic mouse pad.

With all the harsh criticism, you guys have almost convinced me to waste my time and make a professional looking one. Anyways, the idea of updates on it, and pictures and backgrounds is to make it clear that i'm using it, so it can't be seized.

Dude, that's a really offensive thing to say. Mikedzines isn't a squatter in any sense of the word, if he was he would have make an account called "elderscrolls," a name Bethesda may actually want, and not "elderscrolls5." And the fact that you are essentially calling him a troll right to his face only makes it more offensive. :stare:

There is a Dutch gamesite called GameKings that says there will be next week an announcement of an RPG game where alot of people are waiting for and that it will create a hype as big as GTA or Gran Turismo... They cant say more untill next week about it... It could also be that new game from Bioware but that must be Mass Effect 3 or else there couldnt be people waiting for it...

That game sure sounds like TESV and you know what else? Bethesda has a studio in the Netherlands (Eindhoven, I think) so maybe these guys got some heads-up, especially since they seem pretty big over there.

Also, this forum update just before VGAs seems interesting.

So I get up this morning to check this thread on my Droid and what do I see? A fresh, clean smart phone friendly Elder Scrolls page. It's weak, but could this be a preparation for things to come? Hmmm? Probably just them catching up with technology, but I can dream. ...speculate.

You're WAY OFF! While I'm somewhat annoyed at the number of people who have fallen for the Twitter account, Mikedzines has been a great contributor to this thread and is certainly not attempting to profit from the account. What really ticks me off is the fact that just a couple posts ago Mikedzines freely acknowledged this. This was not a fair comment. My respect for you has fallen. :mad:

Gamekings probably seems pretty big over here because it's practically the only gameshow on TV and even then it 's on a music channel. Gamekings is a third rate news source for games, pretty much a bunch of amateurs like you and me except they have a TV camera. Their game criticism belongs on YouTube and I trust them as far as I can throw them.

Nonsense. I didn't know of this Twitter account and I knew what was going on because I read Mike's post that was right above this guy's post. It's either lazy or malicious. Either way, it stinks.

I'm not putting any real weight behind the forum change, and still think VGA unlikely for reasons stated in last thread.

However I do think the overreaction above to VEDOD's post re the twitter account is quite lame. So lame that I don't even feel the need to explain why. My respect for you guys has fallen.
