...My inside sources tell me not to trust you...

Just kidding. Im sure Todd checks this thread out every once and a while to see if we have completley figured it out. I would, however, assume that he has slaves doing that job for him.

EDIT: did I say slaves???

Oblivion was a very good game. And I palyed it for 4 years. But now after reading these forums and watching vids of Morrowind, I realise how much it lacked compared to previous games in teh TES series. The only thing I dont like about Oblivion is its very dated game engine. Thier version of gamebryo just doesnt meet the standards of gaming in this day in age. And no matter how many times they try to change it, it will never get any better.

Oblivion is an awesome game. People may complain and nitpick now, but with all the news about the next installment going to another studio for development and for just about every platform known to man, I am beginning to think Oblivion may be the last TES game worth playing. I don't think Bethesda cares about this series anymore. It svcks, and I sort of feel sorry for anyone hoping this game will be epic, because the way things are looking, it will be a generic spin-off of the series, watered down and lacking depth to appeal to a wider audience.

If you're refering to the "news" on the Planet Elderscrolls website, I can assure you, it was just an april fools joke, check the date. If not, then I'd much like to see your evidence.

"All the news?" You mean that SINGLE article made on April 1st, that was later edited to let people know they should think really hard about the date of the article? Or do you mean "all the news" coming from the dozens of people that somehow fell for it?

Sorry if I'm coming off as harsh, but you are literally the latest in a long line of dozens of people who have posted about that article here since it was posted. I truly, truly, truly have no idea how anyone thought the article could be anything but a joke, and it depresses me just thinking about it.

I was fooled too!

...for about 5 seconds, since after I read the title I checked the date. I then read the rest of the article, knowing the article was an April Fools joke.

I listened to the podcast, and I was saddened that there were no spoilers. Hopefully the next podcast will be talking about TES:V? Hopefully?

It is distinctly possible, at least if my hypothesis of it being announced via either the December or February GI is true. Well, the first half.

Damn Toppa, it took you all of a minute to reply!

At any rate, I realize that there is a possibility; I never meant to question that. Hopefully the next podcast will be before the December issue is out (podcast every two weeks, remember? :P). My post was really just hoping that the game would be announced tonight.

Well, they could call it the Bethesda Podcast V. Everyone would be like "An indication!" then at the end of the podcast Todd would scream: "SSSSKKKYYYYRRRIIIMMMM". Then the others would comment that his head just exploded and awesomesouce poured out. That would be the best announcement evar.

I will laugh if they call it the Bethesda Podcast V instead of 5 though.

It would be a sick joke, but such a funny one. They should just do an Elder Scroll retrospective for the whole podcast and then at the end say, "And now, the moment you have all been waiting for, on this very special Podcast V... head over to Bethblog for some exclusive first looks at the inventory screens for RAGE!!!"

I agree, it was a good Aprils Fools joke but its probably going a bit too far. In fact people on youtube are still quoting from that article even today claiming it to be "The Elder Scrolls V" They just don't seem to budge no matter how much you tell them that it was an April Fools joke.

One of the Skyrim trademarks will be published in the Official Gazette on 2010-11-16, we may see an announcement around that time.
Other than that this is an article that says elder scrolls v is definitely in production:
http://systemlink.gamersguidetolife.com/2010/09/rumour-elder-scrolls-v-definitely-in.html

I know its just a rumor but I just hope its true

While it certainly gave me a laugh, I think the main point Antibody and I are trying to bring across is that anyone who would fall for this has either never heard of TES, or is currently undergoing some kind of brain surgery and shouldn't be on the computer n the first place:

"The game is due out sometime in 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii and iPhone."
"Therefore, development of Alinor has been passed over to indie studio Armor Games"

I'm sorry, but if you didn't see the date, big red question marks should have been popping out of your head the moment you read that. This is why it feels so sad whenever a person comes in here actually thinking its real

A lot of speculation is weeding through all the bull that shows up to see what is available.

It's always had a serial number. It's the registration number that signifies a registered trademark.

After suffering the DLC glitch in Fallout New Vegas and losing all my saves, I just hope Bethesda really doesn't screw up their next game. Obsidian really should have caught this game breaking bug... DAMMIT.

Time to go back to Oblivion, I guess.
