So much for the Halloween announcment, to bad :(
Whats the next big date we hope for ?

Sometime around Christmas or New Year would be my guess.

Yes, that sounds realistic, i have NO posible reason to say that it will come this month.
The only hope is that the second part of the novel comes this month :)

I place my bet for December 10th-20th announcement. I think December announcement is most likely.

What about in November? I'm sure someone in the last thread said they'd suspect an announcement in November..

Todd and Pete have said explicitly that they intend to continue the franchise. The only question is when it will be continued. So be at ease.

So speculation is getting deeper - Morse Code?? OK, if so, then maybe we can focus on the Gran Turismo series.
Yes, that's true - Gran Turismo. - Long time ago Todd said that "Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec" impress him on making Oblivion. Unfortunatelly i don't have link to the source of His statement.

So maybe we extend our speculation range over Gran Turismo series?? Maybe TESV will be announced when the GT5 is out?

Sound crazy to me but who knows.

Entirely possible but I think that's doesn't seem like a very good place considering how crowded it's going to be with big game titles.

what big game titles are coming this month? i mean i dont pay that much attn to games besides rpg's. the only game that ive heard about is black ops. and that shouldnt stop anyone from announcing any game, accept for maybe another shooter. it certainly wont effect a beth game being announced.

Well, a December GI cover is given in November. so if that theory hypothesis is correct then it will in fact be in November. Although whether or not the game is announced, I'm almost certain the next novel will be soon.

Yeah, that's right, totally forgot that :)

@nevigrofnu
I can think of two "big" games coming in November: Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Black Ops as you mentioned. Might be more games, but I haven't paid too much attention either :P

The only time where there aren't really a ton of games coming is in the summer, and I highly doubt it's going to take that long for them to announce whatever they're working on.

Somewhat off topic, but how bummed will you guys be if they announce their new game and it's not an Elder Scrolls title? :sadvaultboy:

It will be an explosion of rage if that scenario happened. I'd seriously reccomend staying away from here as it will be a bloodbath ;)

Anyway, yeah there's always something happening in gaming. If they are too picky then they might never be able to announce it...

But those periods of time are so small that Bethesda waiting for them seems very unlikely. As Redek said the only time when there is usually a lack of big games coming is the Summer and there's no way Bethesda will be waiting to announce it then.

November, January and February all have big games set to be released during each month. December, on the other hand, doesn't. If Bethesda truly cares about announcing the game when no other big games are coming out, the best time to announce it would be December.

for me it doesnt matter when it will be announced to tell the truth. all i want is the be a new TES like all the others want to.now if it is gonna be announced in December then lets say from your mouth to the God's ear. the only times i used to touch my pc was to play TES..and how to make it i love that game

For what it is worth, there are a few factors that lead me to believe we will either see a mid-December announcement and if not, then not until February/March. Crazy unfounded mathematical acrobatics aside, the mid-December date feels most appropriate to me (though that feeling might very well be the by-product of anticipation). When I include all the little bits, December is most likely as well, but when I factor in the second novel, that number plummets. For anyone who cares, I used Mass Effect novels and Halo novels with associated game releases and announcements so the factors there are already skewed significantly.

Well, Cataclysm is set for an early December release, and I'm pretty sure several million people across the world are anticipating that game. But December certainly does have less big game releases than the other upcoming months. If that's a factor they're considering, then I guess SyltStryder is right about a mid-month announcement, possibly later, after the WoWheads have calmed down a bit.

Maybe a Christmas day announcement will happen after all. ^_^

I think we're looking at this too much.

December? That's too cliche. Happy Hollidays, here's an announcement. I expect a random-ass March or April release. Just for the hell of it, no special reason.
