Official TESV Speculation Thread #77

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:02 am

There is NO OFFICIAL information about a new TES game release.

This thread is for member speculation of when and if TES V will be released. This is where you post any new information about when it might be released, tidbits from interviews which mention it and such.

It is also where you post your theories of when you think it might come out based on guesses, number crunching, rumors or such.

This is about speculating on the next TES game and when -- or if -- it is going to be released. It is not a place for discussion of what is going to be in it, what type of graphics there will be, or any other subject of that type; they belong in the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1112872-tes-v-ideas-and-suggestions-177/. If those kind of posts get raised they will be deleted and the poster warned for going off topic.

Please note that this thread is not a personal chat box and that one liners and posts of little substance will be considered as spam and thus the poster will be subject to warnings and suspensions.

No scans of copy righted material are allowed in this thread. Any claims to having insider information will be removed. All other forum rules apply. You agreed to them, so please read them.

Note that Bethesda Game Studios is NOT working on Fallout: New Vegas, Rage, Brink, or Hunted: The Demon's Forge -- Nor do they develop MMOs.

All I know is that if TESV just so happens to be that other big announcement, then Bethesda has done a remarkable job of keeping their mouths shut. However, I don't think it is, because I'm pretty sure Bethesda would have given us at least some warning beforehand. I just don't think that the two "biggest announcements" for something like the Spike TV VGAs will both be RPGs, but that's just me.

It would be a day of heaven on Earth if it was, though.

Why should bethesda give us anywarning? Secondly, grouping it together with another big name RPG is a pretty good way to target the Mass Market as if it is ME3 will undoubtedly be target to the main stream.

Just seen on the first post that people who claim to have insider information's posts will be deleted. Thats good.

Anyhow. As unlikely as an announcement is tomorrow, imagine if it is....

The interview said first 2 of a number of announcements, didnt it? So even if it's not one of the 2 tomorrow, it still could be announced and shown at the VGA's.

Not convincing in the least I'm afraid.

It could also be announced via a nvde chicken dance escapade in Time Square, but I'm not holding my breath (maybe my eyes though).

December 11th on Spike. The announcements we're talking about take place tomorrow. One for sure is from Bioware and likely ME:3, while we don't know what the second one is

Wasn't someone on this forum able to get in touch with Greg Keyes about a month ago? Whoever that was should email Keyes again and see if he's willing to share any more info on the second novel.

Also I was thinking that maybe one of the super sleuths on here could try getting in touch with any of the people on this webpage: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Voice_Actors

Most, if not all, of the former voice actors from Morrowind, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 are likely to be involved with Bethesda's current project. Maybe one of them will spill the beans about what they're working on.

They might give us a warning in the same way BioWare did by saying "BioWare fans pay attention". Maybe not something like that, but a timer (like with Oblivion) seems to make more sense to me. Perhaps if it was announced at the VGAs, Bethesda would probably announce it first, as they have done before.

Hmm, you're right, maybe one of them will break their NDA and lose their job as well as become unable to get any jobs working on secret projects in the future due to their big mouth... ...sounds likely to me!

Enough. The flames and quotes of flames and napalm have all gone away. Make me do it again and you all will be warned. Never flame someone, don't name call and don't snap back. Report it and let us deal with it. At least pretend to be the mature person you are.

March 20th? I don't think so. That seems like a long time to wait to show a game that they're ready to show right now.

I don't know about that, I'm not sure they are even going to release it this generation. The past two times it has been one TES per generation. I mean, I hope they do but I'm not expecting it.

Well, whatever they're working on now is coming out on this generation of hardware. That's a fact.

Now, is their current project going to be another Elder Scrolls? We'll just have to be patient and see.

Actually, in a way they already did give us a warning when they said that the new game would be announced soon. That's kind of like saying, hey Bethesda fans! Keep your heads up in the next coming months!

edit: I bet it will be the game that del torro has been working on.

It's not a convention, it's an awards show where they also reveal several exclusive game announcements every year. http://www.spike.com/event/vga

I doubt we will hear anything at the VGA's about TESV its just not like Bethesda to do something like that as they usually announce something on their site or just announce it period since the announcement is bigger then anything that the other vid companies do.
