Can't say I'm a huge fan of "returning to Cyrodil" though I'm open to it. I'd rather have returned to Vuardenfell in 2005 but having had the time to roam Cyrodil for years now I'd love nothing more than to explore the unique landscape of another part of Tamriel. I don't think I'd be alone in preferring this.

1) My guess is they meant Tamriel. I highly doubt they would leave us with Cyrodil for another 5 years.

2) If it is Cyrodil I'm sure it will be incredibly different and either way I have complete faith in Bethesda to do something unique.

I expect that if Bethesda does anything about this, then it'll be a blog post that simply says what parts if any are true. Todd going up and saying "It's happening, but no it's not really in Cyrodiil" would be interesting but as we all know unlikely.

I wonder if this was all set up by Bethesda. I find it extremely hard (if its actually true) to think that someone would have leaked about the release to some journalist this far into making the game. Someone would either have to be extremely drunk or have to have been giving a large bribe to talk about a project under an NDA.

There is virtually no chance ESV will take place in Cyrodiil. Bethesda has done that already. Direct sequel doesn't necessarily mean Oblivion 2, it means the next game won't be a spin-off.
