Awesome. It even shows results for the 360 and PS3 version.. The project bethesda has been working on is supposedly coming out on current consoles as well as pc. This has to be it.

The rumour says it'll be a chronological sequel, not a direct sequel. :rolleyes:

Actually a lot of websites are saying direct sequel. The main source may not say that but other sites are mistakenly saying that. Likely due to the fact that the actual source had to be translated...

Can someone explain to me why we're getting so convinced that they're going to announce tonight? I'm so confused.... It was just an article about a rumor, that's all. How does that in any way mean there might be an announcement?

It doesn't change the fact that several other websites said direct, i.e. they translated it wrong, causing plenty of people to think it actually said direct. My point being that we now have a lot of people thinking the wrong thing.

Probably not. The marketing department at Bethesda consists of employees that are humans who want to be home relaxing for the holiday weekend, not working on controlling the excitement from an announcement.

Simple, people think this rumor means an announcement is imminent, because they think Bethesda purposely started this rumor in order to generate hype. Personally, I'm not buying it.

I clearly haven't thought this one through.

I used to post here years ago, around the time that Oblivion was announced. Long-time lurker since then, and I soothe myself to sleep at night fantasising about The Elder Scrolls V, much as I fantasised about Oblivion before its release. Oblivion was rad but it couldn't possibly match the sky-high standards that I had set for it. And so here I am, internally hyping up TES V, just as I did with the last game. Will I never learn?
