If people have been begging for a Duke Nukem Forever Game Informer cover, then I'll take that as a possibility.

The data certainly fits the hypothesis, but then again I felt about 10 times more confident about the DA2 cover tweet. I think you may be reading a tad much into it.

Perhaps, but he still says that the Feb. cover is what people have been asking him for, for a long time. That leads me to believe the cover is a game that people have been asking him about for a long time. ESV is one of those, and I don't know any others to be honest, so I could be wrong of course.

It won't be. Bethesda Game Studios does not make MMOs. This was confirmed by Pete Hines.

I only wish game news sites would stop throwing around the ridiculous idea that the next Elder Scrolls will be an MMO.

I know some others have asked Andy and GameInformer about ESV quite a bit, but other than that you're right. Other people may have been asking Andy for some other game a lot, although I can't really recall seeing evidence of that in his twitter when I looked at it from time to time.

If you take away their credibility based on that, then their credibility would have been out the window a long, long time ago. Quite frankly, they were trying to draw viewers based on speculation/conjecture, which is pretty much what we're doing now. I am guessing that they knew any real fan would decipher the rumors themselves, and the worst that could really happen would be to hype up TES. They were simply doing what they do, reporting rumors.

Well the whole article about TESV from Eurogamer is staying at the top headlines of the major websites even though other headlines have been made so I'm confident now that they're leaking it on purpose.

Just to gather some information, has anyone seen Andy McNamara's and other Game Informer twitters that have had people asking about other games for covers?

Is there any way to search keywords on a twitter account? That would make it easier to see if Andy or Reiner replied back to someone asking about a game.

I do not know twitter very well and did not know that it kept a history of comments; that helps me better understand from where you're coming. I suppose then you have a more substantial point than I originally assumed...which is good!

Right now, I found a Twitter search to find keywords from Game Informer staff, as well as others inquiring of a game cover to them. This should definitely be helpful.

Eh, I'm afraid it won't work. I can barely go farther than five days ago it seems. The tweets can't possibly be purged though, since Andy McNamara gave us that hint about the covers much earlier in November and we can still view it although the search can't go far back in time...

So if February is the Elder Scrolls GI cover that means they have to announce it soon or else they miss that window, all the games they are going to be competing against have basically already been announced and let's face it. RPG's aren't really in competition because us RPG fans love em all

I remember that too. It's kind of helpful. He even used the word "begging" back then as well. It isn't absolutely concrete, but it is pretty convincing.

Well, the search is working now for some reason. It can search farther back. I think...

Not exactly. That's from the infamous Paul Oughton quote in which he stated that there could possibly be a new Elder Scrolls title in 2010. He was neither definite nor clear what he meant (announcement or release), but his reliability was also quickly discredited by most of us.

However now an announcement seems likely, and considering the main article was on game industry.biz cause I remember seeing it on the site it seems as if he could be telling the truth.
